I’ll go first as an early doors delight from M&S -

Truffle filled Brie

Think it was £10 in store but I’ve seen it since on Ocado with 1/3 off.

IT’S GORGEOUS Grin

@lorisparkle

I loved the strawberry after eight mints.
Does that actually work then?
RicherThanYew · 27/12/2021 13:38

Definitely the 8 hour brisket with my own recipe 'bbq' sauce. I haven't started on the cheeses yet but the day is young. I'm yet to make pumpkin pie but I have a good feeling.

Marmelace · 27/12/2021 13:44

Blinis with cream cheese, caviar and sliced pickled eggs, 😆 never for the life of me would I think that to be a good combination 😋

AudTheDeepAndCrispAndEven · 27/12/2021 13:47

My chocolate orange trifle is bloody amazing, ,if I do say so myself. And after last year's somewhat sawdusty cake, I've nailed it this year with a Mary Berry recipe and lots of brandy feeding. Veggie Haggis was also splendid on Christmas day.

HelenaJustina · 27/12/2021 13:50

My spiced beef is beautiful this year.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 27/12/2021 13:51

You have a recipe for the choc/Orange trifle?@AudTheDeepAndCrispAndEven It's my favourite flavour combination for puddings.

PermanentTemporary · 27/12/2021 13:52

Another hand up for the choc orange trifle recipe...

RedHot22 · 27/12/2021 13:53

M&S sticky toffee pudding crown. 😜

PurpleDaisies · 27/12/2021 14:01

ThePlumVan · 27/12/2021 14:02

I’m taking note of all of these ready for next year Grin

I made some Vegetarian Pigs-In-Blankets -
I had a Sainsbury Nut Roast ( quite nice didn't use the sauce as it was boggingly sweet ) and Paxo stuffing . So left the Quorn roast til yesterday

P-I-B were the Richmond Meat free sausage with their meat free bacn wrapped round then oven roasted .

The roast potatoes were amazing , sometimes they just work . These were Maris Piper , (DS likes them faitly small) steamed then ruffled up and left to go cold before roasting them.

of course. Line the bottom of a trifle dish with jaffa cakes and layer them with tinned mandarin segments. I used three packets of jaffa cakes and two small tins of mandarins. Make up a packet of orange jelly. Use the juice from the mandarins as well as cold water to make up to correct quantity. You could add orange liqueur if appropriate. pour over jaffa cakes and leave to set. Make up custard using powder and add cocoa powder until chocolate coloured. leave to cool slightly in pan. When cooled, stir in skin and pour over trifle and leave to set. Finally, when completely cooled add whipped double cream. Garnish with choc orange segments, orange matchmakers or choc orange buttons! Store in outside cupboard as there is no room in the bastard fridge! It' my own recipe so no exact quantities, sorry!

M&s duck croquettes
Mini beef wellingtons
My mum got this amazing honey mustard and garlic dip in a big bottle. It's so nice, were dipping anything we can find! It's from 'the garlic farm'.

BeyondMyWits · 27/12/2021 14:24

Cranberry and orange panettone.... bought in mand s.... deeeelish

Fferny1 · 27/12/2021 14:50

Left over home made sage & onion stuffing & shards of goose skin crisped up in the air fryer ... dipped in cranberry sauce . It's like eating the very best sort of crisps & a dip.

AlbertBridge · 27/12/2021 14:53

The Gressingham turkey I bought on Amazon fresh. Nicest, tastiest turkey I've ever had.

iklboodolphrednosedpaindear · 27/12/2021 14:58

The venison medallions with crispy pancetta and a red wine & cranberry sauce I had at the restaurant last night. Perfectly cooked and melt in the mouth.

Postdatedpandemic · 27/12/2021 15:00

I made a huge jar of aioli, the adult DC decimated it and have suggested we make more.

dementedma · 27/12/2021 15:03

Sweet potato and leek soup made by DD2. Bloody gorgeous

actiongirl1978 · 27/12/2021 15:07

M&S sausage rolls from the party food range. We all said they were the best we'd tasted.

Agree with the truffle brie - and mine was free because ocado put it under three 4 pint milk bottles so it was squashed - I had to fashion it into a brie shape again Grin

Also the fillet beef we had for Xmas Dinner.

Riverlee · 27/12/2021 15:11

These chocolate-covered orange ‘sweets’ from Waitrose. Delicious.

Plus turkey from local butchers.

Best thing you’ve eaten over Xmas ??
LadyEloise1 · 27/12/2021 16:20

The M&S Brie with truffle was delicious
As was the Blacksticks Blue.

blondie87 · 27/12/2021 16:25

A cheese and charcuterie board complete with Camembert and crusty baguette

Left over roast cockerel and honey roast ham pie.

Will be going vegetarian for January 😂

colouringindoors · 27/12/2021 16:28

The sandwich I just made myself. Fresh granary bread, lurpak butter, lots of cold roast turkey, Hellman's mayo and Waitrose chiller bread sauce Grin
