Veggie sausages?

Icantremembermyusername · 06/11/2021 20:59

Tomorrow night's tea - sausages, Yorkshire puddings, broccoli, gravy and New potatoes. DC want to try veggie sausages (as a family we are slowly moving to more plant based meals). Any suggestions for what we should buy,

I think the Richmond ones are the best Smile

MilkCereal · 06/11/2021 21:00

Branleuse · 06/11/2021 21:03

Richmomd are my fave

PinkBuffalo · 06/11/2021 21:04

Richmond ones definitely the best! They are the only ones I will have

FlyingFlamingo · 06/11/2021 21:04

Richmond!

RedHot22 · 06/11/2021 21:05

Richmond
Well done for making a shift

NotAnotherPushyMum · 06/11/2021 21:05

Cauldron

BeyondMyWits · 06/11/2021 21:06

Richmond meat free are really nice. Dd is vegetarian and I do sausage casserole for all of us including meat lovers with those ones. No one complains.

PurpleDaisies · 06/11/2021 21:06

I really like Richmond too
Also Sainsbury’s shroom dogs

AliasGrape · 06/11/2021 21:07

I don’t like the Richmond ones that much, but then I didn’t like the meat version of the Richmond ones when I ate meat!

I like the cauldron Lincolnshire ones, pretty much the only ones I eat (occasionally a quorn one with a cooked breakfast as that’s what the cafe we go to uses, I don’t mind them but wouldn’t buy them for home).

RockinHorseShit · 06/11/2021 21:07

Cauldron are the best

Heruka · 06/11/2021 21:10

Linda McCartney

Richmond!

NannyR · 06/11/2021 21:52

My favourites are cauldron Lincolnshire, followed by Linda McCartney red onion and rosemary. I seem to be in a minority but I thought the Richmond ones were awful, very weird, unpleasant texture and taste.

Plump82 · 06/11/2021 21:52

I'll add my vote for Richmonds as well. If I can't get them I'll go for cauldron. Taste and Glory are pretty tasty as well. All of these are good for people who want a sausage that's like a meat sausage. Linda McCartney is ok but not meaty and i really didn't like the texture of Sainsburys Shroomdogs.

mangodreams · 06/11/2021 21:56

I like the cauldron Lincolnshire ones best followed by Richmond. The Linda McCartney ones are like eating sticks of cardboard.

JillFromHolt · 06/11/2021 21:57

Another vote for Richmond! They are amazing. Small tip if you can't find them-for some reason they are kept where the meat sausages are and not with the veggie range

That depends on which supermarket. Ivd always found them with the other veggie sausages.
Youcancallmeval · 06/11/2021 21:59

Linda M for me, I thought the Richmond ones were grim, odd texture, bad taste.

Snoopfroggyfrogg · 06/11/2021 22:00

Cauldron are the best!

Chloemol · 06/11/2021 22:05

Cauldron. Best ever

Ginisatonic · 06/11/2021 22:13

I really dislike the Richmond sausages. I like Cauldron or the Linda McCartney original ones.
