What do you serve with toad in the hole?

Potatoes too stodgy? Salad too summery?
Baked beans?

I love a bit of mash, onion gravy and marrow fat peas, sorry I know not everyone's cup of tea

Beans in my house.

Peas and gravy

Cheesy mash and peas or carrots with thick gravy.

Mash and petit pois, mum add gravy I don't.

Mash, vegetables and gravy

Broccoli

Peas and onion gravy.

Tomato sauce. But I’m the only one that eats it anyway.

We make ours with sliced potatoes and onions in the tray, with the sausages, before pouring the batter on. Then serve with peas and gravy.

Mash and beans or peas. In winter spicy red cabbage.

Green veg - cabbage or broccoli usually - and carrots. Gravy. Lots of gravy.

That sounds so nice, I'm going to try that next time

Roast broccoli, sweet potatoes, carrots and cauliflower. And gravy of course.

Onion gravy and something green, usually peas or spinach. No potatoes.

Carrots with thyme and butter, shed loads of gravy and roasties. The others occasionally have mash. I detest mash.

Cabbage and gravy.

Peas and gravy. Peas mash and gravy. Extra sausages... Stuffing... There's never too much stodge when a toad is involved. Maybe some carrots...

I have never made this but intrigued - tell me your top tips. Metal roasting tin or ceramic?

I didn’t even know you could roast a broccoli @MinesAPintOfTea I‘m definitely going to attempt it!!

Vegetables and gravy. We used to do mash, but found no one wanted the potatoes with Yorkshire pudding on offer.

I wouldn't use a metal dish...ceramic is better imo. And brown the sausages before you pour the batter over them.
