I'm in love with food 😍 reading about it watching programmes about it learning new things trying new things.

Especially Mediterranean food

Looking for someone else to talk to as no one seems to be as enthusiastic as me lol.

Thank goodness I’ve found my people

sarahjconner would you consider sharing the Massaman curry of bone in lamb recipe? It sounds right up my street

Tartyflette · 08/01/2018 00:22

Today I made Nigella's Brussels Sprouts with preserved lemons and pomegranate seeds. I was sceptical but a friend recommended it and have to say it was lovely with our roast (free-range, local) chicken.

Tartyflette · 08/01/2018 00:24

Was that a galette des rois Mom ? For 12th Night?

Tartyflette · 08/01/2018 00:30

Sorry, Mom, I missed your earlier post. Who got the bean?
(I like your take on the filling. )

Mominatrix · 08/01/2018 22:08

I love tartiflette! You have just inspired me to make it later this week. Dh got the feve but no crown.

Bavette steak with bearnaise sauce and a watercress salad tonight. Tomorrow will be a sweet potato tikka masala made in a healthy manner.

Kimchibest · 09/01/2018 08:57

Hi! bjt late to the party, but also a massive foodie, really into fermentation and cook a lot of Japanese and Korean food. Have so many cook books it's ridiculous, cookings basically my favourite thing to do Grin

Tartyflette · 09/01/2018 17:49

Hi Mom I love tartiflette too (no surprises there) Grin but I love it best of all in a snowy and picturesque French ski resort after a hard day just lolling about/at the hotel pool/strolling around the gorgeous chic shops while DH hits the piste!

kateandme · 09/01/2018 19:11

mac and cheese with a layer of salmon on the bottom and squirtings of salad cream!yes.

LianaB · 09/01/2018 22:51

Yes other foodies!! I constantly watch programmes, read magazines and have a huuuge collection of recipe books (thanks to dad at Christmas!)

My absolute favourite cuisine is Italian but recently I have been trying to try new recipes and have done some tasty typically British comfort foods like pies and stews Smile

I have always wanted to work in food, so much so that I have just launched a side business which is a healthy baking subscription box! Just kicked off so hoping it will take off and I can live my dream! If any one wants to check it out find it at www.bakewellbox.co.uk Could definitely use the support!

Does anyone else do anything food based for work? The ultimate dream....🤗 x

foodiefil · 09/01/2018 22:53

Hey 👋🏼💁🏻

What would you cook to impress me? 🤓

Mominatrix · 10/01/2018 05:54

Interesting idea LianaB. I'll definitely check it out - healthier baking is definitely something I am also interested in. I'll try and dig up the information, but there was an article on someone in New York who has been successful in doing such a thing and has a bakery and cookbook now.

Interesting question foodiefil. I guess I'd first need more info - favorouite cuisine, allergies, likes/dislikes.

foodiefil · 10/01/2018 10:05

I personally eat anything and have no allergies but I'm interested in what others think would be a wow dinner for a guest. To steal ideas ha! @Mominatrix

LianaB · 10/01/2018 10:23

Thanks @Mominatrix ! Wow a bakery and cookbook is the ultimate goal! Let me know if you find that article 😊
