Who is cooking tonight?

Morning ladies!

It's Friday. End of the week. Dinner time. What are we having? I'm simply interested to know how many will cook and how many will succumb to the temptation of the delivered takeaway??

Me; I'm cooking.

Steak, creamed spinach, mushrooms and green beans here. Oh and definitely a couple of g&ts or glasses of wine... I have been looking forward to my dinner all day!

We often have a takeaway on a Friday but trying to be good and not undo all the gym effort this week plus we are out tomorrow night for dinner anyway.

Nononononono33 · 19/05/2017 16:34

We usually head to our local pub on a Friday but I like to have something home made when we get back rather than takeaway. I'm going to prepare a spinach and blue cheese pasta bake and just pop it in the oven when we get in.

Rinceoir · 19/05/2017 16:37

I'm not at work today. There's a venison cacciatore simmering on the hob at the moment.

crazypenguinlady · 19/05/2017 16:42

I'm cooking tonight - which basically entails throwing some shop bought pasta in a pan of water for several minutes, grilling some olive bread and throwing a salad together. Easy night tonight. We are having prawn and lemon ravioli.

DP is cooking tomorrow - steak but not sure what we're having with it.

smoothieooo · 19/05/2017 16:43

DS1 and DS2 will have to heat up their own dinner. I cooked from scratch all week but bought them ready meals for tonight (DS1 - chicken chow mein, DS2 - lasagne) as I'm off out for cocktails after work Grin

CiderwithBuda · 19/05/2017 16:51

Papa Johns or fish and chips here.

Dh is away and likes neither but DS and I do. Suspect it will be pizza. We only do takeaway once a month or so.

HeyMicky · 19/05/2017 16:52

I'm cooking. Steak, grilled mushrooms and griddled gem lettuce with blue cheese dressing. Takes about 10 mins, tops.

PotteringAlong · 19/05/2017 16:52

We're having tomato, bacon and chili pasta with salad.

I could murder a curry though Blush

LittlePinguin · 19/05/2017 16:53

I'm cooking mac & trees for me & my boy, with a garlic baguette too Smile

toffeeboffin · 19/05/2017 16:54

Me as usual.

We're having roast chicken, garlic and olive oil butternut squash and something green, probably spinach.

AmserGwin · 19/05/2017 16:54

Chicken pie with mash for one DC, chips for the other and veg

toffeeboffin · 19/05/2017 16:55

Mac and trees eh little Grin

KustardKat · 19/05/2017 16:57

Ooh blue cheese dressing. HeyMicky how do you make yours?

LumelaMme · 19/05/2017 16:58

Leftovers.
Plenty for everyone, and I don't have to cook!

Chelsea26 · 19/05/2017 17:02

We're having home made Nando's - chicken, chips, rice and corn on the cob. I'm debating whether to try and make macho peas too - can't really remember what they taste like though so won't know if I've got it right or not. I do remember them being delicious though!!!

Lillieslamb · 19/05/2017 17:06

I'm cooking. Chinese inspired bbq chicken wings (marinating since last night), maybe with rice and veg, I'm not sure. Just me, dh and 11 month old dd.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 19/05/2017 17:08

I'm cooking, macaroni cheese with bacon bits

tinypop4 · 19/05/2017 17:10

I'm cooking tonight- pan fried mackerel with rosemary and black pepper, jacket potatoes and undecided veg. Usually dh does a stir fry on a Friday but he's going to be late tonight

blueskyinmarch · 19/05/2017 17:10

We are having chilli which DD2 is currently cooking while I put my feet up with a cup of tea. 😀

HeyMicky · 19/05/2017 17:10

@KustardKat Blue cheese, mayo, greek yogurt, lemon juice and garlic. Beat together, crumble through some extra blue cheese and chopped chives. Not terribly authentic but it's quick

MrsJoyOdell · 19/05/2017 17:12

I'm cooking! Chicken steaks, chips & peas for the kids and Steak, new pots, tenderstem broccoli & green beans for us.

MrsChopper · 19/05/2017 17:12

We are cooking. By that I mean I will do my best to convince DP to cook but it will probably fall on deaf ears.

We are having gammon, potato gratin and veggies.

We both fancy a take away but are far too skint this month and every penny counts Sad

findingmyfeet12 · 19/05/2017 17:12

I'm cooking red lentil daal, a salad asking up left over veg and avocado and plain boiled rice.

babyturtles · 19/05/2017 17:15

Chinese takeaway.

glitterglitters · 19/05/2017 17:16
