Simplicity and easiness is encouraged but points will be deducted for Hunter's Stew, any kind of tray bake, spag bol and anything that contains a tub of Philadelphia.

I'm going to win as I'm serving two pie meals on the trot!

SUN: Bella Italia - the child had pizza
MON: sports night DH cooking as I'm working late therefore a steak pie from the butchers with beans
TUE: Chicken pie from the same butchers with some sort of beans/spag hoops thing
WED: Sausages and mash
THURS: freezer meal (ie chicken nuggets or fish fingers)
FRI: pasta and jar of sauce

Looks bad, I'm going to have to up my game next week!

xalyssx · 16/03/2015 13:39

Monday - Fish fingers and potato waffles and baked beans
Tuesday - stuffed roast pork and mash and peas
Wednesday - mishmash omelette
Thursday - curry
Friday - pie

Annietheacrobat · 16/03/2015 13:45

No I still think the chopped up burgers in spag Bol is a winner

butterfly2015 · 16/03/2015 13:53

Forgot to mention we had a kebab on Saturday night.

BeCool · 16/03/2015 13:59

I don't have a meal plan and the DC are fed elsewhere so I often fall asleep before I can be arsed cooking don't have proper meals:

Tonight - steamed head of broccoli with grated cheese and chilli sauce
Tomorrow - roasted courgettes, peppers, shallots & garlic with Parmesan.
Wed - soup out of a carton (already in fridge approaching use by date)
Thursday - chilli cauliflower cheese (with leftovers for lunch)
Friday - lentil and kale soup
Saturday - wine & Doritos

happygirl87 · 16/03/2015 14:04

Awww thanks Grin

You will be pleased to know that when DSD is around we have 3 square meals including nutrients etc! Grin

drspouse · 16/03/2015 14:04

Mon: leftover spag bol, the DCs are having their pasta out of the freezer as I can't be bothered to cook pasta twice.
Tues, Weds and Thurs: probably toast or a sandwich for the DCs. Probably not with the out of date hummus in the fridge.
Adult tea will consist of something I think of at 5 pm, or something DH picks up on the way home (though it may come from Waitrose).
Fri: whatever they serve me at the PGL centre where I'm taking the Brownies. DH and the DCs will probably have ready meals all weekend.
Planning? What's planning?

HellKitty · 16/03/2015 14:09

Me!!! I win!

Crapped out on Friday with homemade chicken enchiladas but Saturday was Dominoes and Sunday was some weird southern coated reformed chicken shite with frozen chips. I didn't eat it. I had crisps and a can of lager Grin

What do I win?

Cawanaka · 16/03/2015 14:14

mandy214 · 16/03/2015 14:18

Friday - (after school) IKEA hot dogs and ice cream.
Saturday - roast lamb. Had been in freezer since August, reduced from £12 to £2.90.
Sunday - KFC

Is that worthy of a place on the podiumWink?

Clutterbugsmum · 16/03/2015 15:08

Mine basic

monday - cold pork and something
Tuesday - Chicken thigh and something
wednesday - sausage not sure how or with what
Thursday - Fish again not sure what type or with what
Friday - Burger

quesadillas · 16/03/2015 15:12

Do the meal plans of someone suffering from morning sickness count?

Last night - toast and Dairylea
Tonight - toast and butter
Tomorrow - probably toast
Wednesday - maybe toast
Thursday - toast
Friday - probably toast
Saturday - traditionally junk night. Might have a pizza.

I should point out that husband and son are eating fairly normally. I wouldn't inflict my current tastes on them. Apart from at breakfast.

Today out for dinner for Mothers Day
Tuesday Shepherd's Pie
Wednesday Harvester before football match
Thursday out for pub lunch in Peak District as going walking
Friday Takeaway as dh and ds's going away for weekend so only me and dd's home
Saturday taking dd's out for dinner to local restaurant.
Sunday Roast beef and all the trimmings done in time for dh and ds's getting home.
My sort of week Grin although rarely happens.

Hoppinggreen · 16/03/2015 18:09

Today - Dc at Friends and I've been snacking so put some frozen samosas in the oven for DH
Tomorrow - dunno
Weds - no idea
Thursday- clueless but it will have to be quick due to Beavers and choir
Friday - it may involve fish
Saturday - will try and persuade DH to go out
Sunday - roast something or other.

GiantGaspingSatanicCyst · 16/03/2015 23:05

Laughing in recognition at the all toast menu Grin although in fairness I didn't have morning sickness either time, I was just lazy.

DC eat tea at the childminder's all week, so it's just DH and I for most of this:

Mon - chicken thighs, wedges and bendy veg. DH ate half a tub of chocolate ice cream for afters. I ate two fairy cakes. There was booze.

Tue - fend for yourself night aka gym night. Beans on toast probably, or DH will eat cardboard pizza.

Wed - dunno

Thur - see Tue

Friday - wine and crisps

loveareadingthanks · 17/03/2015 10:20

I don't meal plan in advance.

Well, no, last night I thought I should get something out of the freezer so I got out a couple of those turkey breast slice/steaks things (raw). And now I've remembered I've got some cooked pork in fridge from weekend. So I have to figure out something to do with those tonight, using the veg I've got, 1/2 courgette, onion, yellow pepper, small bit of brocolli mostly stalk. Probably stir fry with rice then.

This is my idea of meal planning.

PeaceOfWildThings · 17/03/2015 10:23

I don't have a plan (yet).

We had veg and eggs and bacon last night and we each did what we wanted with those ingredients. I had an omelette and ended up with all the bacon. DCs had boiled egg, veg and toast.

tomandizzymum · 17/03/2015 10:37

Sunday night we all went out for icecream sundaes. So stuffed that became our dinner. 5 year old had bubblegum flavour and something called 'blue ice' which glowed in the dark. Topped with bright sprinkles and bright red sauce.
Grin

Purpleflamingos · 17/03/2015 10:43

I don't really meal plan, I just wing it from the contents of the fridge.
Last night was fish and chips.
Tonight is one pot chicken (leftover chicken added to sautéed on inks and garlic, stir in brown rice, add stock, add a teeny amt of chilies, plenty of carrots, add stock, passata, and chicken and stir occasionally until the rice is cooked and it is a nice thick sauce. Throw in some finely chopped broccoli for two minutes. Serve.
Tomorrow is toad in the hole with vegetables and gravy.
Thursday is yet to be decided. Possibly a lazy risotto.
Friday may be Pizza Hut/pizza express night.

Purpleflamingos · 17/03/2015 10:44

Sautéed onions not inks!
