Here we are, a lovely shiny, new thread just in time for Xmas.

Thank you xxxx been practising interview questions with DW all evening. The typical ones like 'what are your weaknesses'. I need to stop being nervous and just see it as good practice! And I'm now going to sensibly turn my phone off and get a good night's sleep. Night xxxx (leaves gingerbread)

Shaky · 03/01/2013 00:28

I actually don't know why I have just drawn attention to my worst ever moments on MN

Good luck today Empress, I hope it goes well.

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM · 03/01/2013 11:25

Good luck Empress

Shaky I never realised that was you haha, I loved that thread. Would just like to point out that I jumped to your defense and called the people who didn't get it "a bunch of loons" Grin

StateofConfusion · 03/01/2013 11:28

Good luck empress xxx

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM · 03/01/2013 11:57

Ok,wish me luck.

I'm feeling like poo, DD is being a nightmare, the dog is climbing the walls.

Day 2 of being stuck indoors.

I am going to drag my ass (and DD's and the dog's) out for a walk. It may kill me, but it may also help to end the stir crazy, wall climbing, mad house.

Oh god, just told DD and she is on her worst possible form. I think I may have to dispatch her to her nan's for her own safety.....

BonkeyMollocks · 03/01/2013 11:59

Shaky that is a great thread Grin

Good luck Empress !

I have a friend and her two dc's coming round in abit. Its going to be loud Confused .

showtunesgirl · 03/01/2013 12:03

Break a leg Empress.

EmpressOfThePuddle · 03/01/2013 12:12

Thanks everybody. OK, rehearsed my answers, just waiting now for the phone to ring....

Good luck Brian.

EmpressOfThePuddle · 03/01/2013 12:34

OK, done, and I find out next week whether I get a face to face interview.

I think it went ok, I answered all the questions and they were easy ones. not sure if her responses were genuinely appreciative or just polite tho.

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze · 03/01/2013 12:36

Good luck Empress, and good luck Brian!

I have my password saved on my laptop so I never get logged out of MN, but the last few days I keep getting logged out if I'm inactive for more than about half an hour. Confused Is this happening to anyone else? Is it a MN problem or something going on with my laptop?

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze · 03/01/2013 12:37

Oops cross posted! Well, fingers crossed for you Empress. Smile

EmpressOfThePuddle · 03/01/2013 12:45

Thanks Dreamy.

I don't know, have you checked whether Keep me logged in is still ticked?

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze · 03/01/2013 13:48

Yes, I tick it every time I have to log back in, but it doesn't seem to be working. It's getting very annoying!

StateofConfusion · 03/01/2013 14:05

dreamy my phone and laptop go through phases of doing that, usually when dp has cleared history/cookies etc recently, it takes a week to remember what I want it to do!

Well done empress

brian pack her miranda dvd and send her here! You can borrow my --mutant 5yo-- ds for a few hours he loves dogs

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM · 03/01/2013 14:38

ahaha, yes good idea State. Poor mum doesn't know what's coming her way. As for borrowing another child in her place, I am sure it doesn't work that way Hmm unless they brink oodles of choc and cake Grin

Walk was a success, it has half killed me though. I have only got a cold, but that combined with lack of sleep is making it hard work. I woke up every 2 bloody hours for a wee (TMI sorry) and I had made sure I didn't drink excessively before bedtime. At one point I was that tired that I considered getting incontinence pants - this was about 4.30am and I was deadly serious

Well done Empress fingers crossed for you x

Dreamy am sure I saw something earlier on Site Stuff about being logged out by the site....

StateofConfusion · 03/01/2013 16:40

Ah brian I do not miss the frequent peeing at all, and only realised last night I can spend the night in bed and not get up, even if I don't go seconds before falling asleep, tis brilliant!

Mutant 5yo is adorable for everyone except me and dp, he's pretty helpful too.

We've hit a hiccup with dd, whenever she's cross or something doesn't go her way she hits something of Lilys, pram/carseat/cot etc, and today she flicked her on the nose ):

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze · 03/01/2013 16:49

Thanks Brian, I had a look and found that thread. Looks like it's not just me then.

Everyone says sleep as much as you can while pregnant, cos you won't get much once the baby's here, but I couldn't sleep more than 2 hours without needing a wee, then I was so uncomfortable I couldn't get back to sleep for ages. I got far more sleep once my babies were born!

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM · 03/01/2013 19:20

Dreamy ha, I forgot that I was going to have a look for the thread and link back to it here - doh! At least you found it though.

As for sleep, back to work next Monday. I only do 4 hours a day but have an hour each side for school run/commute and it is those 2 hours that do me in, not looking forward to it! Bed by 7pm next week I reckon.

I am actually dreading going to bed tonight. I fall asleep instantly, but then the 2 hourly pee-run starts, meh Sad

I suppose it is just preparing me for the newborn 2-3 hourly night feeds.
