We took the dcs friday, ds wasn't sure reluctantly sat on the stools with my brother and sister, dd however who's usually shy sat on the floor right at his feet, didn't take her eyes off him, that and her portable north pole video has totally enchanted her, and ill confess to having the pnp 'are you being good' video bookmarked on my phone so when she starts father christmas can have a word haha!

Just finished my Mums cake, and my favourite film (coyote ugly) is on watch so I'm putting my feet up :) x

I am snuggled up, under my duvet, with my iPad, eating a big bag of giant chocolate buttons, nice!

I may have just over indulged in left over chocolate fingers after a huge cottage pie for dinner.

Just watched the dcs portable north pole videos, made me all teary, they will love them. Also found a £100 m&s voucher from sky in my inbox I'd totally forgotten I'd get once joined up

I'm going to save some so I can go buy dc3 some clothes that aren't white in the sales. Its really cheered me up, a year ago today I had the scan which discovered the mmc so I've felt just odd all day, also dp looking through our letters from talktalk as he needed some info about download limits/speeds or something, discovered were getting a £25 voucher from them love to shop or sainsburys! Can't complain :)

Well, I survived. Kids had a great time. Ds was ok-ish , but is now horribly ill :(
I have no idea if he will be in school tomorrow.
And can I say - Thank bloody god for my MIL because there is no way on this earth I could have managed today without her!

I am completely shattered, I have loads to do tomorrow then I am having a few 'I realy cba' days where I can recover from this weekend and have some fun getting the tree up with ds. he also got loads fof crafty bits that he I want to play with .

Had a bit of a stressful afternoon, first place we'd planned to go for dinner decided they had no room as the football was on, managed to re-book elsewhere then that end of town had a power cut, find another place but they say as they have a small kitchen can we phone orders in and arrive 30mins after that, except my sodding aunt gets her oar in and messes that up, stresses poor small pub out and manager says he just can't do it, during all this me and dp are yo-yoing across town with all 4 dc in our car, eventually end up in wetherspoons where as per fecking usual me and dp are one end of the table with our dc between us, my dbro and sis the other side then my cousins and the other 4 adults the other end of the table. Food was good though and Mum enjoyed it but jeez I could feel my blood pressure rising.
Oh and my aunt redeemed herself by printing my m&s voucher out for me, so me and dp are off shopping tuesday :)

I'm off to bed, its been one of those days!

No, I'm not okay. I'm really angry but there's no point in talking to the bitch my mother as she never listens. And I'm done talking to myself. I'm thisclose to cutting her out of our lives completely. But since she live's 5,000+ miles away it's not like I see her very often except on line.

Looks like the tree may be going up today.

She actually sent me an email, prefaced with 'I hope this doesn't make you angry' with a list of all the things I'm doing wrong with LT. And her theory as to why he isn't potty trained.

My mother, ladies and gentlemen...

Oh tee I think perhaps the huge distance may be a very good thing, for her safety. I think I'd wind up smothering my Mum if she ever commented on my parenting.

Especially with toilet training, why do so many people think its just something they should do, there's a lot of developmental milestones they need to reach to accomplish and in the end it just has to 'click' for them. Ds was 3 1/2 when he sussed it, went dry at night around 4 1/2. Dd was 2 but despite not using pull ups every month we'll have a bad week of wet nights with her. Its just one of those things. Oh and the child genius in our family was almost 5 before he sussed it.
Sorry my mil has made me a bit stressy about toilet training, she told us we should start at 10mo, sit them on the potty whilst eating breakfast

She's really upset me this time to the point I want to tell her to not come in March and to cancel our plans for next Summer. Except I don't actually want to see her next summer, I want to see my brother and his family. And she won't let me see them unless she's there, although she has agreed to arrive a few days after us, at least.

Oh tee you poor thing, I think you'd be perfectly reasonable in cancelling plans with her but if she'll make seeing your brother difficult I understand why you wouldn't. Sounds a bloody nightmare!

I've no advice I'm afraid but feel free to rant and punch cushions in here x

BonkeyBoy is abit better thanks State , we spent the day putting up the tree and other various christmas crap . He's gone quiet again though so early night tonight and hopefully (silently prays) school tomorrow!

I used to have some 'beads what you iron' , I was never allowed to iron them though, apparently its bettre to 're-use' .
