I'll have a bit of everything --because in reality I have the exceptionally dull shreddies--

Yum! Thanks everyone. I actually just woke up about 40 minutes ago! Finally, some sleep.

I probably shouldn't say this...but my flu jab stopped hurting sometime yesterday...I got it last Saturday.

Now I really need a Brew!

showtunesgirl · 14/10/2012 12:59

Humph, no chorizo and eggs as DH doesn't fancy anything with pork today. Pork overload whilst up in Melton Mowbray! So fair enough.

But now we have to go for lunch at my IL who are the worst vegans ever. I have nothing against veganism, I just object to bad cooking which my MIL is the queen of.

StateofConfusion · 14/10/2012 14:27

show we were in Melton last week! :)

showtunesgirl · 14/10/2012 14:36

Ooh really?

I am currently stuck in the back of a car. DD has NOT had lunch as we should have been there by now and I am royally pissed off at DH.

StateofConfusion · 14/10/2012 15:00

DP has family there and all over leicestershire, we almost moved to a place there lovely town. We went to the food festival but wound up in the kettleby cross with two grumpy dcs.

Hope you get lunch for DD soon (have been in that situation more than once) xx

Shaky · 14/10/2012 21:23

I didn't manage to get any new glasses so I'm wearing my sunglasses at night, in the house, again.

I look ridiculous!

A trip to vision express in the morning I think, they couldn't do anything today.

I looked a right pillock in the shoe shop with ds wearing sunglasses today Sad

StateofConfusion · 14/10/2012 21:33

Oh shaky you poor love, hope they can sort you out tomorrow, if it helps I find very few people actually look at you mostly people look past or through you when in town etc.

Shaky · 14/10/2012 22:09

That is true State I never notice anyone else when I'm out shopping. I'm too busy trying to get in and out of the shops before ds has a meltdown or declares that he needs a wee, NOW! THAT'S when people look at you!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 14/10/2012 22:22

My favourite 'please don't look at me' moment....Ds was about 2 and said, very, very loudly "Mummy, why do you have a cock" Blush Blush Blush .

I had just started wearing a watch! Hmm

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 14/10/2012 22:23

The guinea pigs are farting and it stinks!

Shaky · 14/10/2012 22:44

Arf Bonkey, I just spluttered my wine at that!

My ds asked yesterday, "Mummy, where's your willy?"

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 14/10/2012 22:48

Ah yes , had that one Grin .

StateofConfusion · 14/10/2012 22:57

Dd decided to sit in the bathroom with me while I had a bath today, by sit in the bathroom I mean perch on the toilet lid like gollum staring at me with a strange expression and clearly fighting her 3yo urges to say fecking odd things, she finally spoke, "can I touch your nipple, its nice" I replied "no dd, can you go away now" she shuffled off looking pretty pissed at me.

Kids are so damn strange! Well mine are.

Shaky · 14/10/2012 23:24

Blindly state if ds was in the bathroom with me in the bath he would have climbed in fully clothed! He still thinks its hilarious to pull down my top to see mummy's boobies!

A bath is a rare treat in this house, I tend to set my alarm and get showered and dressed before ds gets up, otherwise the whole day descends into chaos and I would never get clean. I honestly don't know how others cope with more than one child and working.

Shaky · 14/10/2012 23:27

Blindly was meant to be blimey!

Appropriate typo tho! Christ, I can't wait to get my new specs!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 15/10/2012 08:00

Awful nights sleep. Im dizzy Im so tired :(
Going to drop ds off and curl up on the sofa with a duvet !

StateofConfusion · 15/10/2012 08:59

shaky she'd already tried that but dp had got her dressed and done her hair before I was up and I bribed her to stay out by promising a visit to her cousins. I shower usually too but for once I had time and dp was watching the dcs, although aparently not the girl one!
I've had ds and Dd together that long I can't remember how it was with just one, despite my initial 'it will be fine' attitude the leap to 3 is making me slightly more anxious than it did. But the big two will be 4.1 and 5.5yo so plenty old enough to behave, I hope!

Same here bonkey

ZombTEE · 15/10/2012 11:31

Morning all.

Busy morning of school run, new client meeting, old client work and peanut butter toast. Grin

Bonkey I hope you get some rest.

You too, State.

::hands round pillows, duvets and cake::

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 15/10/2012 17:28

Well i nearly murdered the Asda delivery man today!
I finally drop off to sleep, then at 11 i get a phonecall asking if its ok to deliver early Angry . Not only that they forgot the parsley which results in pissy pigs! Hmm

On the plus side...when I get angry i get a mad urge to clean, so i managed to catch up with the housework and its now gleaming! :)

StateofConfusion · 15/10/2012 19:50

Oh bonkey what knobbers! I don't get on with asda home delivery, they took my payment twice far too many times and the substitutes I got sometimes made me stabby! Fresh mint in place of rennies anyone? Atleast your house is clean now Grin

I got ministate a 'my first christmas ever' tshirt today after standing in a blacked out tesco for 10minutes, it was most eerie!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 15/10/2012 20:21

Its only the 2nd time Ive had a delivery, each time theres been something wrong!

Love those tshirts! Not long now!!!

ZombTEE · 15/10/2012 20:44

I've heard ASDA is the worst. I use Tesco and they aren't perfect but they aren't horrid either!

How sad is that in this modern era that that's the best you can say about a huge supermarket chain? Whatever happened to customer service?
