Awful news Tee. :( Stupid bastard disease indeed.

StateofConfusion · 18/10/2012 15:46

Oh tee I fecking hate cancer, I had a small hormonal rant about the bastard last night, it makes me irrationally angry. Hope he's as comfortable as he can be xxx

Unfortunatly the office side of building is something dp would struggle with, he is severely dyslexic and had no help or diagnosis until he was 17 at college so spent a long time being told he was lazy/thick and he has no confidence, i deal with all his paperwork/bills etc as he just can't do it, he actively avoids reading to the dcs if anyone else can hear, breaks my heart as he's exceptionally clever and can think his way around any problem and solve it. Also he's no formal qualifications except the vitals for site work, as school failed him so he works site to site through word of mouth after being taken on as a labourer years ago and being taught all kinds of things as he went along, his digger/forkilift tickets expired and now there's a written test alongside the practical test to renew them.
He'd quite happily do driving work as he loves driving but he needs to have had his license 4yrs for most jobs he's found , he's had its 3yrs 1mnth! So now we wait for the hospital referal and investigations/ops/trails of different pain killers and then he'll have to search for something new. atleast he'll be around when dc3 is born, he's never had paternity leave before so that will be nice.

StateofConfusion · 18/10/2012 15:47

Also meant to say empress I hope which ever way things go they are best for you all best of luck lovely xxx

Grin bonkey

Its what people will think that's worrying me, I know we'll get by me and dp are very frugal, and we have the debt relief order finalising soon which takes the strain off, and my big two have clothes put away in next sizes etc thanks to older cousins, baby stuff and christmas about done, its just the stigma of having dc3 when dp isn't working, on paper he's employed and signed off but I don't want the midwives health visitor etc thinking were those type of people, does this make sense. I'm kinda angry tbh, I was judged for age with ds, close age gap dd, this was meant to be the time I wasn't.

I'm going on the bus to my Mums tomorrow and staying over as she's having a Jamie at home party, I'm usually a home girl can't bear to be away from my bed, dp or dcs. But I cannot wait! 24hrs of just being me, not worrying about them 3 is heaven! My brothers now ft in reception so we have a whole day just me and Mum first time since my sister was born, she's 7! :) although I have to share a room with my sister again Hmm

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo · 18/10/2012 19:59

Ooo what's a Jamie at home party State?

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains · 18/10/2012 20:06

Forgive me, I have skim read the thread as have not been on for a few days.

Empress am so, so sorry to read your news - I hope you are ok and I wish I had something useful to say, I don't, so have a massive {{{{{PuddleHug}}}}}} Sad and know that you can come here and get some support/understanding maybe even advice when you are ready to speak about it.

Tee sorry to hear about your Uncle, really is a shitter of a disease.

State stop worrying about what other people think - they will only know about your situation if you tell them. I have learned to NOT SAY STUFF to people who don't matter or whose opinions I don't wish to know Wink I know it is easier said than done though, believe me, I live my life worrying about what other people will think of me in my current situation.

I'm off again now, laptop is a bit hit and miss so only spending brief moments here and accessing FB through my phone mostly.

Take care everyone x [kiss is deserved so nerr] Wink

StateofConfusion · 18/10/2012 20:10

Jamie olivers range of kitchen stuff, its pricey but bloody lovely and actually good quality --unlike pampered chef--! My mums friend is a rep and I could easily buy the whole catalogue, I'm only going to make cake/nibbles etc as bribery Mums buying me some christmas cookie cutters from it. The reps make Jamie recipes for the party to show off the stuff, so food and kitchen stuff my idea of a good night in. Plus I luff jamie oliver a bit.
I think you can see It online.

StateofConfusion · 18/10/2012 20:11

Thanks Brian I know your right :) x

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 18/10/2012 20:24

State Fuck 'um all Wink Grin

StateofConfusion · 18/10/2012 20:42

The puddle has spoken Grin

Sainsburys loves me, along with the reeces peanut butter cups/pieces and nutrageous being 29p, the peanut kitkat chunkys are two for 80p. I have one of each, I am very happy.

Also anyone know what to do with a HUGE and I mean can look me in the eye on hind legs, 9mo labrador retriever X puppy that loves my dp SO much he can't bear to not be physically touching him for a second, its hilarious but driving dp a leetle bit insane!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 18/10/2012 20:49

Give him to me! Am bored! I could do with some entertainment!

It is weird that I have just lit and blown out a candle 4 times because I love the just blown out smell? Hmm Grin

ZombTEE · 18/10/2012 20:59

::has a strop as she has never even seen a peanut butter kit kat::

Grin

Thanks everyone. It's really hard because his wife and my mom do not get along at all and so my mom, who is a 'let me come over and cook you a meal and clean your house and do your shopping' kind of person feels like she can't even offer because Aunt would kick off. He's my step-dad's brother but we are a very close family in general.

state joke 'em if they can't take a fuck. Who cares what those people think? Grin

bonkey fab kitty!

In other news...I have just agreed to be the Local Editor for MN's Belfast...EEP! If you haven't checked out the new local, do so. It's still a bit buggy, but they are getting there and it's going to be fab!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 18/10/2012 21:19

Fab news Tee* , i haven't had a look at the local pages yet. Barely ventured out of the puddle for ages. Will do soon!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 18/10/2012 21:19

wow, bold overload there Hmm

ScreamyShriekyFrightyWoozyWooo · 18/10/2012 21:25

That's great Tee! I haven't looked at the new local pages yet, last time I looked there was very little going on near me.

StateofConfusion · 18/10/2012 21:40

Good luck tee :)

I will delve into local pages once I move back to my much loved home town next year, I love my house but I will not be coming back to this town once I leave. I know of a few mners in my area, have met one, I get so anxious about it though as I worry in rl I am in actual fact a boring pleb Grin

ouryve · 18/10/2012 21:47

I was thinking that maybe puddles and cakes don't mix. Excuse me - this is the first time I've seen this topic.

StateofConfusion · 18/10/2012 22:22

We hide here, we just like to eat cake, and I make a few from time to time. It was just a quiet place to keep our chats going, were called the puddle after a typo in another thread :)

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 18/10/2012 22:35
Shaky · 18/10/2012 22:37

Wow! The puddle is looking even more inviting now I can see it properly!

I'm sorry to hear everyone's bad news Sad

I actually need a puddle snuggle myself. I have been back in work for 2 weeks, reduced hours, phased return and working with someone. The reason I was off was a bad episode of depression and needing to go back on antidepressants.

I thought I was coping well but absolutely exhausted. Today my boss asked to see me and said that she doesn't think that I am well enough to be back at work. She has advised me to take more time off, go back to my gp and maybe change my medication. Sad

I'm gutted, going back has been a big deal and very stressful and now I'm going to have to do it all again.

Although I will have more time to snuggle in the puddle.

This must be THE nicest place on MN Thanks

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 18/10/2012 22:40

Oh Shaky :(
How do you feel overall? IS it just her that doesn't think you are coping well enough to be back or do you feel it?
