Traditional foods like jam and marmalade..do you still buy them

Only occasionally bought jam when i was making a sponge, or to have with scones and cream.

But - dd recently tried a jam sandwich at someone elses house, so i now keep a jar in the fridge for her.

I buy it, use a little, then it just goes mouldy!

we have jam but seedless jam as DS1 will not eat bits

Jame yes.... I dont like it myself (too many jam sandwiches as a kid) but DH and Jess like it so they have it.

Marmalade - nope, never.... dont like that either!

Lemon curd..... would LOVE to buy that again but DH wont let me!

Yes we always have jam. Have stopped buying chocolate spread though
Occasionally have lemon curd and marmalade but not often.

I used to make delicious lemon meringue pies with homemade lemon curd but seem to havce forgotten how..largely because dp wouldn't eat that sort of thing

never buy much jam for myself but i make scones for dd sometimes and she loves a bit of jam on them. only ever seem to get through 1/4 of a jar before it goes off though so a bit of a waste

Do you seriously not buy something as trivial as lemon curd because your DHs 'don't let you'!

We get jam, no marmalade (no one likes it), and I keep forgetting to get lemon curd when I'm actually shopping!

We have both in the fridge. I have toast and marmalade most mornings for breakfast. The jam only really gets used if we have croissants as a weekend treat.

(Top Tip -buy your jam and marmalade at Lidl -tastes loads better and fruitier than the usual stuff you get from other supermarkets)

I like the Lemon and Lime Marmalade from Lidl and their blackcurrant jam is yummy too, the dd's like (seedless) Raspberry jam and my mum makes fab Gooseberry jam!

have friends who resemble 'the goodlifers' (hub knows of whom I speak) and they make it by the gallon

we have jam, strawberry jam from bettys tea rooms, as it is gorgeous, it is rationed to sunday mornings though as we don't often get to york to visit the il's to buy it. for everday purposes we have a nice strawberry jam, we also have lemon shredless maramalade, lemon curd (for ds2 everyone else dislikes it) and we often pick up other james, preserves on our travels, particularly in the summer when the craft markets are on, love home made jams, but the pne time i attempted to make my own was disastrous.

I am also puzzled at people's DHs objecting to them buying lemon curd. Am I missing something here?

My DH doesn't really eat jam or marmelade at all. But we still have it in the house!
