Just wrote an excellent flounce and it disappeared!

Anyway, the gist was that I'm off. Mumsnet is no longer the lovely caring place it was, I can't believe the shit I am reading wrt the Syrian refugee crisis and I'm out.

I shall miss many many posters, thank you for the laughs, the tears, the support and putting up with me, it's been a blast and I am a better person for knowing you all.

I'm on one of the fb groups, so hope to see some of you around

CTK, over one out.

the first post was so much better

I named you. You need my permission to leave. Soz, it's in the rules.

I'm ignoring ALL the threads in regards to refugees I prefer to do shit than say shit with important stuff.

Lj8893 · 05/09/2015 18:47

I've only got as far as the call to arms but was so desperate to say count me in!!

I started to engage with threads about Syria and refugees etc but got so angry and upset with them all I have just avoided them since which is just ridiculous and completely not in my nature at all.

I've only been on mumsnet a couple of years but it's already changed so much in that short space of time, I loved that it was such a liberal, left wing haven and I felt so comfortable here. It's not that way anymore Sad

SouthWestmom · 05/09/2015 21:31

Oh forgot to add my name to the cll obvs.
However I do need a name change as I am quite bored with this one

ThomasRichard · 05/09/2015 21:35

Argh no, stay! You have to do Janet & Roy this year!

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 05/09/2015 21:35

You won't know me, am newly re-registered after the debacle last month and sporting a namechange, but I've been cheering you on all day.
Stay. Flowers

TPel · 05/09/2015 21:41

MN isn't the place it was a few years ago, but if all the voices of reason bugger off, it will become a vacuous wasteland of internet banality. Stay and help make things better.

MrsKoala · 08/09/2015 14:14

I have been wallowing in my own dramas Kieth so have purposely avoided any thread which i think might make me want to set my own head on fire. I'm tempted to read that thread tho just to read the 'witchcraft' comment. It sounds amazing.

Anyway, glad you are staying and if you need me on a thread just put out a Koala (i'm thinking something like fluffy McTuffy from numtums) signal in the sky.

Also in Kent I was slightly concerned we might become ukip last election but i'm in pretty much one the safest Tory seats in the UK i think, so, at least that's one good thing Hmm ...

IKnowIAmButWhatAreYou · 08/09/2015 14:17

I thought the idea of a flounce was to actually, you know, go?? Wink

If you're going to stay then maybe get this deleted??

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 08/09/2015 15:43

Glad you've decided to stay! We need all the good people we can get, otherwise we're going to be overrun with racists and MRAs.

I'm not sure if the problem is specific to MN, these people are becoming more obvious all over the internet.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 08/09/2015 16:12

Oh good, I'm in. What will our bat signal be?

Catthief, you are not allowed to leave. Btw, have you read a children's book called Keith, the Cat With The Magic Hat? I always think of you when I read it to DD.

CatThiefKeith · 08/09/2015 17:49

No way is that a real book! I need to find a copy. Grin

As far as a bat signal goes, just post a link to the thread and hopefully some of the lovely people on this thread can come over and help you sprinkle common sense all over it. :)

Nice to see you posting MrsK. My offer stands, any time!

MrsKoala · 08/09/2015 18:30

Cheers Keith. I may take you up on it in the future - the next month is chocka tho. Sorry about deleting the thread yesterday. I just got overwhelmed and felt 'the fear'. I'm better now. :)

i still haven't been brave enough to read the 'witchcraft' thread tho...

CatThiefKeith · 08/09/2015 20:46

No worries, I regularly get it myself but I'm the most careless poster in the world. Grin

Stay away from that thread, unless you want to lose all faith in humankind, seriously.

In other news, I've upset mil today. She is convinced I have really given dh's dinner to the dog, and have 'humiliated him on facebook'. I've told her it was an extra bit that was gristly and it was just a joke but she is not amused. The woman is batshit. Grin

CatThiefKeith · 08/09/2015 20:59

OP posts:
MrsKoala · 08/09/2015 21:02

OMG it looks just like you too! Grin

catzpyjamas · 08/09/2015 21:04

CatThiefKeith · 08/09/2015 21:05

How rude! Grin

OP posts:
CatThiefKeith · 08/09/2015 21:11

Yes, that's the one! Love it, especially the happy little bees at the end.
