I love world cinema especially French but it’s been a few years since I’ve really been able to enjoy films regularly and I want to return to enjoying French cinema. I’d appreciate any recommendations. It doesn’t matter if I’ve seen them so I won’t list them here because it’ll remind me of how much I loved them and to watch them again.

TIA

Do they have to be French language films or just French? If it's the latter I'm going with The Substance 😀

Les amants du Pont-neuf.

Have watched it once a decade since the 90s and the most recent was strange, distant and still engaged - on top of emotions and perceptions that I hadn't been, - inevitable as this movement is.

Thank you so much, tout le monde!

I came to recommend “The Line” on ITV player, of all places. 84 episodes of life in a French village, 1940 to now.
