What films wouldn’t you change a moment of?

Ive just watched Billy Elliot and I think it’s absolutely perfect. The characters, the set, the very palpable despair displayed by the miners during strikes - anyone familiar with these areas know that these places have barely progressed as a direct result of Thatcher’s destruction. I feel that somehow came across in the movie.

The ending 🥺 it’s actual perfection

Remains of the Day.

Not t as good as the book but it captures it's spirit perfectly. Antony Hopkins best performance.

GlitchStitch · 19/05/2024 22:15

Last of the Mohicans- amazing and with one of the best film soundtracks ever.

The Verdict- less well known Paul Newman film but his best.

God's Own Country- mesmerising and just gorgeous, one of the best British films I've ever seen.

Gladiator. And it’s not even my favourite film because not really my genre, but it doesn’t miss a beat and is flawless imo.

Omg Arrival. I couldn't stop crying (I had just had DD2) and really struggled with it all (trying not to leave spoilers!). It was brilliant. I'm not sure I can ever watch it again.

The separation
Portrait of a lady on fire
Grave of the fireflies & spirited away
Barry Lyndon
Memories of murder or Parasite

Grave of the fireflies is so sad, not at all what I had been expecting, but it is brilliant too

Jo Jo Rabbit

This was advertised as a comedy but I found it quite bleak, especially when he recognises his mother's shoes......

Godfathers I and II are perfect from the first roll of the first scene.
Absolute perfection.

Braveheart (my favourite film of all time) has the most perfect ending scene bar none 💜⚔️

MsLavender · 16/07/2024 00:42

I saw it three times in the cinema I loved it so much.

CocoBellaSparkle · 16/07/2024 02:01

When a Man loves a woman
Batman /Cat woman (with Michelle Pheifer )
