Honestly I wish DC would step up their game and bring us a decent Superman movie!

I really liked it!

I don't like the big ensemble ones though (boring)

And much prefer the single character films. I loved fury and the focus on her friendships. And Goose, obviously.

I have to say I loved it! It wasn't without fault - the first 15 minutes were a bit dull and it was bloody obvious who the big bad really was. The CGI worked well for Fury but Coulson just looked odd. But I did get really sucked into the story and the characters (and the music!!!). The humour was spot on and I really did well up towards the end when she discovered how powerful she could be. And then there was Goose!

I've just watched the Endgame trailer and I can't bloody wait.

Has anyone seen Spy, the Melissa Maccartht film? I was distracted by how much Jude Law was playing the exact same character (except that Carol wasn’t in love with him I guess).

The huge difference between this film and Wonderwoman (and the first Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and AntMan) is the absolute lack of love interest. Literally zilch, if we’re assuming that Carol and Maria were just chums. I enjoyed rather than adored this film (my favourites are the first Captain America film, both GOTG, Ragnarok and Infinity War) but I certainly didn’t find myself thinking “what this is really missing is a token hunky bloke for Carol”.

I really enjoyed it, haven't watched any of the Marvel films but lost the toss on taking DS to this one with his friends, settled down for a snooze but got hooked, loved the cat

Our whole (Avengers loving) family loved it! Me and teen dd loved it the most.

Dd has even booked herself into the hairdressers to get her hair chopped to look more like Carol Danvers.

Very excited about EndGame. I'm just so worried about all the 'dusted' people.

For those wondering when Endgame tickets go on sale, I rang up Thursday and was told 3-4 weeks before release for such a big film. Not that I'm in any way excited 😁

As for Captain Marvel, I agree it started a bit slow, but I ended up loving it. Goose was definitely the star of the show. The soundtrack was amazing and Fury's back story was brilliant. Nice little set up for Endgame.

I'm not an Avengers fan and haven't seen any other superhero movies.
I enjoyed this though and was glad it was a standalone story and didn't rely on any previous knowledge.

Amazing (but great) that people have enjoyed it despite not having watched any previous Marvel films. Apart from everything else I just thought it was so beautifully shot.

It really was a good stand-alone movie, and yes just sets up everything nicely for Endgame

But also slightly sad that we are heading To the end of the Avengers as we know it.... I mean I know they'll continue to pump out movies ( Spuderman; black widow, black panther still to come) and I would also guess another captain marvel movie!

They tend to have 3 movies each don't they? Three Ironman, three Thor, 3 Cap and we're due 2nd Spider-Man, there's been 2 Antman.

That's why I think I know who will die in Endgame 😪 I hope I'm wrong.

We definitely need Hulk remade with Mark Ruffalo, I love him so much as Banner.

I LOVED it. Went to see it with DH and I’m going to take DS so that I can watch it again. It felt very Buffy-esque to me, especially the montage of her as a child getting back up again - I think the baseball shot must have been a deliberate reference to the awakening of all the Slayers? Soundtrack was amazing. I also really enjoyed that there wasn’t a big dramatic hero story to Fury’s lost eye.

I can’t figure out the tesseract though; I thought at this point it was still in the ocean with Capt America...? So I don’t get how Larson was using it to power her super light speed tech.

So psyched for Endgame. I honestly can’t wait.
