Anyone else seen it? Can we talk about it? Want to check if anyone saw what I thought I saw. So, spoilers allowed.

It lingered on the eye, which glowed, she has Dino DNA for sure

bluerunningshoes · 10/06/2018 22:28

loved it.
owen
loved claire, maisie, the vet.
the big one in the water was awsome.

indoraptor sounds more like a cleaning product.

MillyTheKid · 10/06/2018 23:22

We all agreed 3D wasn't worth it if that helps.

Definitely not. You'd think 3D and dinosaurs would be a guaranteed winner but they really didn't make use of it.

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 10/06/2018 23:28

I loved it. I also cried at the poor dinosaur left behind to die..

I took my 7 year old and she loved it, I didn’t take my four year old (because I wanted to enjoy it!) but my friend did and he was totally fine.

boatyardblues · 10/06/2018 23:49

Of course, had Owen really been caught in a pyroclastic flow he would have been gassed by noxious volcanic gasses and cooked to super-crispy. There’s no way he would have survived being enveloped by that gas cloud. Hmm Although, I bet Chris Pratt would make for quite a tasty BBQ long pig.

PickwickThePlockingDodo · 11/06/2018 09:12

How did he make it off the cliff anyway? The other two were in that bubble thing when they plummeted down but he just went running to the edge, then we see him in the water not splattered on the rocks below

bluerunningshoes · 11/06/2018 09:36

--they just didn't film the biggest stunt where owen is grabbed by a flyingsaur

Aprilshouldhavebeenmyname · 11/06/2018 09:40

He made it off the cliff simply by being Chris Pratt.
Mmmmmmmm!!

Frosty66612 · 11/06/2018 09:47

Saw it last night and we really enjoyed it. It was very silly at points but there was non stop action which kept it very entertaining.
Totally missed all that about Maisie having some dinosaur DNA. Makes sense though

boatyardblues · 11/06/2018 22:15

Ah yes, Leading Man Magic Wings. Solved!

SouthWestmom · 11/06/2018 22:28

I am always impressed by the mermaid like breath holding abilities in these films.

It was great to see Claire in sensible boots this time. I noticed they zoomed in on them as she got off the plane, no doubt to address the criticism about her stupid white stilettos 🙄 in the last film.

MillyTheKid · 12/06/2018 11:02

I raised an eyebrow at the pyroclastic flow scene but then wondered if I should be quibbling about duff science in a film about dinosaurs being alive. Grin

bluerunningshoes · 12/06/2018 11:24

owen would have perished after being shot with the tranquilizer (assuming it's what wildlife vets use to bring down a lion)

boatyardblues · 12/06/2018 12:45

I don’t mind being schooled on volcanic matters, Milly. Go for it. Grin

CoolCarrie · 12/06/2018 12:55

I fell asleep after 20 mins and woke up at the dinosaur auction!
What happened to the nanny, Iris? She was played by Charlie Chaplin’s daughter and the baddy was Timothy Spall’s Son Rafe.

PickwickThePlockingDodo · 12/06/2018 14:11

I wondered what happened to the nanny too (didn't know she was Charlie Chaplin’s daughter). She left after the baddy told her to get out (after the old Grandad died). I thought we were going to see her again at the end but no. That was quite sad as she had been the one who raised maisie Sad

raisedbyguineapigs · 12/06/2018 14:55

I thought she looked like Lorraine Chase! She must be oona Chaplin's mother. They look very alike.

CoolCarrie · 12/06/2018 15:21

Géraldine Chaplin played Tonya in Doctor Zhivago

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/06/2018 15:25

the volcanic inaccuracies made me a bit cross. Even the lava didn't seem that hot.

JuicySwan · 13/06/2018 23:44

I tend to spend a lot of time in films going “Ooh..... what’s he been in?” (Willy-tucking, girl-suit making baddie in SOTL) and “Ooh what’s she been in??” (Original Victoria in Twilight) but really enjoyed it.

boatyardblues · 14/06/2018 00:15

Get thee to imdb.com, Juicy. If you can remember anything about an actor - last film you saw them in, co-star etc - you can usually track them down quickly.

JuicySwan · 14/06/2018 00:33

I’m a frequent visitor to IMDb 😁

sakura06 · 16/06/2018 22:20

Absolutely ridiculous film. Quite fun, all the same!
