La La Land. I lasted 45 minutes. Worst film I have ever seen!

Quickerthanavicar · 05/03/2018 19:52

Loving Vincent, Jackie Brown, Wrath of Khan - Star Trek whatever it was.

Celticlassie · 05/03/2018 19:56

I thought about it during Vanilla Sky. If I'd had a book I would have done.

lastnamefirstfirstnamelast · 05/03/2018 19:57

Mama
Scooby doo

OutsideContextProblem · 05/03/2018 19:58

DD threw up all over me during a terrible film about corrupt cops with Colin Farrell. I was not sorry to have to leave.

Mummabeargrr · 05/03/2018 20:00

Showing my age - 'scent of a woman.'

DumbledoresApprentice · 05/03/2018 20:01

I haven’t. The only time I’ve ever noticed people leaving and not coming back was when I went to see Inherent Vice. 4 or 5 couples/groups left while I was watching it. It was weird. I’ve been to see far worse films and never seen walk-outs like that before. I saw San Andreas at the cinema and nobody walked out of that and it was dire.

HandbagCrazy · 05/03/2018 20:02

Batman vs Superman. Managed 40 minutes. Not even Superman's abs smile could save it.

Would have walked out of The Departed if DH hadn't been enjoying it so much.

Had to stop DH walking out of Legally Blonde many moons ago. We were young, he thought it was going to be a proper legal drama, I was enjoying it Blush

Hobbitch · 05/03/2018 20:08

I walked out of Munich and Black Swan. Sat through a few more wondering why I was still watching!

Essexgirlupnorth · 05/03/2018 20:12

Went to see team America world police with my friend and her America conservative Christian boyfriend. They wanted to leave after 20 minutes

PhelanThePain · 05/03/2018 20:12

Anchorman. Managed about 15 minutes. Lots of people walked out.

PanannyPanoo · 05/03/2018 20:15

one of the Lord of the rings ones. just lots of goblin blokes running through snow for ages
Moulin rouge and something so dire I can't remember it!

cantkeepawayforever · 05/03/2018 20:18

Left 'Schindler's List' [leaving my door keys behind, but that's another story]. Desperately wanted to watch it, but I have always found it extremely hard to handle violence in films.

Wanted to leave 'Braveheart' (an unfortunate choice by now-SIL & BIL as an occcasion to first meet them) and 'Ghandi' (the massacre at Amritsar scene) but couldn't.

themagicamulet · 05/03/2018 20:18

Moulin Rouge

themagicamulet · 05/03/2018 20:20

Also Bambi at the scene where his mum dies. But to be fair I was 4 and had to be taken out as I was in so upset

Pleasebeafleabite · 05/03/2018 20:25

Van helsing - a great big pile of poo

Pet semetary - knew what was going to happen and knew it was going to upset me

Would have done the same with titanic had I not been in a big group

I really love scooby foo Blush

Pleasebeafleabite · 05/03/2018 20:25

Doo! Scooby doo!

Scooby foo a whole other film altogether

kohl · 05/03/2018 20:29

The remake of Texas chainsaw massacre. Clue should've been in the title really, but so very awful.

NewtScamandersNaughtyNiffler · 05/03/2018 20:31

I remember going to see Moulin Rouge with my friend and her parents when we were teens. Her dad walked out fairly near the beginning. I was so shocked. I didn't realise people did things like that.

For context, my mum was a single parent on a very low income. The cinema was a HUGE treat. Friend was from a middle/upper class family who could afford to do such things!

Of course I can see now that it's no more of a waste of money to walk out than it is to watch a film you aren't enjoying!

Itis6oclocksomewhere · 05/03/2018 20:32

I walked out of La La Land too.

corlan · 05/03/2018 20:33

Never walked out but I've fallen asleep a few times.

Coconutspongexo · 05/03/2018 20:35

Magic Mike
The newer Karate Kid
Avatar mostly because I was tired & wanted to go home

elQuintoConyo · 05/03/2018 20:39

Straight Story. A man called Alvin Straight travels halfway across the US on a lawnmower. Fuck. My. Eyes.

Sissy Spacek was excellent though.

MyNameIsNotSteven · 05/03/2018 20:42

Groundhog Day after about the fourth day.

MrsGrindah · 05/03/2018 20:46
