Dream girls. Absolute shite

Mum2OneTeen · 05/03/2018 21:00

Not me, but my teen DD (aged 17) and two of her mates walked out of "Red Sparrow" on Saturday night due to the graphic violence & rape scenes. Quite pleased that they felt able to make that decision really.

Star Wars - Phantom Menace.

Not just a kids’ film. A totally crap kids’ film.

cheminotte · 05/03/2018 21:08

Lord of the Rings - had an interval, we didn't go back.

JesusTapdancingChrist · 05/03/2018 21:11

Have never actually walked out but came very close with the steaming cinematic turd that was mother!

Worst film I've ever seen. I was one of around 20 people there and 6 walked out Shock.

AthenasOwl · 05/03/2018 21:12

Only once in my life ..it was a weird film with Jennifer Lopez in it and I think it was called the cell.

Screaminginsideme · 05/03/2018 21:12

American hustle and Macbeth the latest one

Elend · 05/03/2018 21:14

Anchorman 2. Think they forgot the jokes.

SenecaFalls · 05/03/2018 21:19

Showing my age - 'scent of a woman.'

Showing mine even more: "Bolero" with Bo Derek.

DH and I lasted about 30 minutes. People were leaving in droves.

hagsrus0 · 05/03/2018 21:21

Easy Rider (obviously many years ago) - for some reason it aroused acute anxiety during the first few minutes.

Svalberg · 05/03/2018 21:22

The Horse Whisperer. Fell asleep then left with about 15 mins to go. Tediously boring, and I like horses!

Embekkisson1 · 05/03/2018 21:24

DD told me she walked out of Lord of the rings , she said she had a headache and she had to get away from that film .

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 05/03/2018 21:26

Ooh I’d forgotten about The Cell. What a load of crap.

StringandGlitter · 05/03/2018 21:27

Godzilla. I can’t stand hearing peopl me scream in terror. Only went to keep H company but just couldn’t take it.

He walked out of something I took him to with Kiera Knightly in. Wasn’t Atonement as I’m still hearing him moan about that one. Might have have been Pride & Prejudice.

toomuchlikehardwork · 05/03/2018 21:29

I had a very satisfying snooze during Ali! Couldn't risk it now as I snore.

Ginger1982 · 05/03/2018 21:31

My parents walked out of the Omen in the 70s (before I came along!) Dad was a minister and didn't appreciate the religious aspects 🙄 Should have done a bit of research before going I think!!!!

Roomba · 05/03/2018 21:33

Showgirls - a very long steaming pile of crap.

starkid · 05/03/2018 21:36

Old School.
I wanted the leave The Producers and Miss Congeniality 2, but for some reason sat them out.

Graphista · 05/03/2018 21:39

"walked out but I've fallen asleep a few times."

Fell asleep during Shattered ironically 😂 it was dire though.

Bridesmaids - whole thing up to this point was shit (and I usually love Melissa McCarthy) but no that was too far!

"The newer Karate Kid" I loved that, big fan of Taraji p Henson and thought jackie chan was good in it too.

"the cell" another film I love, but yes definitely marmite.

Interesting how people's tastes vary.

Flumptastic · 05/03/2018 21:43

No but I wish I’d walked out on Breaking the Waves!

FreeNiki · 05/03/2018 21:45

Nearly walked out of Mother!

And at Moonlight.

WhatAPowerfulPerm · 05/03/2018 21:46

The Beach, as a mid-teen. We went to McDonalds instead and then caught our bus home!

SevenOf1981 · 05/03/2018 21:47

The cable guy. Awful.
Thought maybe I'd missed something so even tried again on dvd, but had to turn it off. Bloody shit.

Fell asleep during pearl harbour. So dull.

The other film with the latest 'brat pack' guys (Stiller, Wilson et al) where they are awful superheroes. Forget the name, but felt I should like it. Didn't.

Anythingforacatslife · 05/03/2018 21:50

Detroit. The camerawork gave me motion sickness after four minutes and made me vomit.

Laska5772 · 05/03/2018 21:50

Grease (shows age)

I was also utterly desperate to walk out of Forrest Gump. (what a load of utter bilge..) but couldn't as I was in Czech Republic at the time with my university exchange hosts and they had taken me out especially to see it ..
