...I think I'd like to be a Vulcan. Logic, clever quips, excellent eyebrows. Could get a grip over those pesky emotions too (bloody anxiety).

Anyone else think Spock is dreamy?

I couldn't get into Enterprise either but oh boy, I love Scott Bakula!

wickedwaterwitch · 03/03/2016 22:27

I agree, Bashir and Gaius are very alike

I wasn't interested in Enterprise

The recent films though, oh yes. Chris Pine, swoon! And Bones!

wickedwaterwitch · 03/03/2016 22:28

I watched a lot of Battlestar Galactica but got fed up after several seasons

BadLad · 03/03/2016 22:33

Ro Laren was great

I didn't realise until recently that the same actress played Commander Cain in BSG.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 04/03/2016 06:46

I've never seen Battlestar Galactica. Have I missed out?

I didn't mind Enterprise, bit when they stopped showing it on terrestrial TV I didn't bother trying to catch up.

BadLad · 04/03/2016 07:19

Battlestar Galactica has an OK pilot, a good first series, and a second series which starts off well but gets a bit dull towards the end. The third series starts off well and then the rest of it and the fourth series are crap.

That's my recommendation. You will appreciate it a little more if you saw the original series in the 70s, but if you didn't, it is still good in places in its own right, and it isn't worth watching the original now, as it is laughably dated and cheesy.

MashesToPashes · 04/03/2016 19:52

"Ro Laren was great. The TNG episode where her and La Forge were in the transporter accident and she tried to make peace with being dead was a good one (and also on television all the time). I found her really believable as a flawed character."

Agreed, My favourite scene from her first episode was when Guinan glides over to her in Ten Forward and Ro gives her "I want to be alone" attitude and Guinan tells her not to be daft because she could be alone in her cabin.

I can't stand the new films Confused. I love voyager and janeway was my hero growing up. I hadn't watched ds9 until I was pregnant and bedbound. I binge watched the lot. I do enjoy it. Especially garak. Totally wished the higher ups at paramount studios allowed a bashir/garak romance.

Enterprise had good ideas but failed at the delivery. Also I hated the theme song. Not trek at all. Wonder what the new series will be like?

Bananalanacake · 09/03/2016 12:48

Sorry, took me a while to get back to this in my watched list. She's named after Voyager, the clue is in my username:)

startrek90 · 12/03/2016 19:38

Love it. She was a total badass Smile

Hi everyone,

We're just sweeping this great thread into films. OP please do shout if this is a problem for you. Flowers

ILeaveTheRoomForTwoMinutes · 23/03/2016 14:19

Oh I use to watch all the star treks when they were on in the same wee each week. But never really got into the originals but saw a few when my dad watched them.

I'd forgotten all the character names until reading this thread and have been googling them to remind me who they are.

Dax was my girl crush, so I'd probably be her.

I'm now decided to introduce the the DC to startrek as i want to watch them all again.

I have never like any of the films though.
