Star Wars theories anyone? - potential spoilers.

Right I've been rewatching and reading online and thinking about it and here's my theories:

Vader/anakin will return. Jinn was able to communicate after his death; yoda and obiwan knew about his studies and the immortality and at the end when vader is dead you see the two of them and anakin. Anakin was by far the most powerful user of the force; I reckon Luke's been at the original Jedi temple studying the ancient ways. Rey has got to be his daughter; together they will bring back granddaddy anakin and he will stop kylo ren either by redeeming or destroying him.

But will it be vader or anakin who returns???

(I reckon anakin, he was the chosen one and I reckon he can still fulfil his destiny)

Anyone agree/any other theories?

I think that Kylo has the potential to be a goodie as he was battling with the opposing sides of the force.

They've never really used flashbacks before have they? When Rey touched the light sabre but otherwise I can't remember any - happy to be told I'm wrong.

Ahhhhh the doll. I'd forgotten that ii thought 'they are lingering on that for a reason'. But she was a scavenger though wasnt she?

According to Wookiepedia she made the doll herself from a jumpsuit she found. Also she was born 11 years after the battle of Endor so she's not vaders!

Why would Han not appear a la Alec Guinness? There were references to The Force when they were talking in the Falcon. I need to see it again!

See, obiwan and yoda were studying the immortality stuff that jinn had found which is why they appeared. I shouldn't think Han could do that. The interesting bit re vader is that he appeared in material form with the two of them on Endor - despite no hints he's been studying it.

So deliberate or not he was definitely strong enough to retain his own identity when he returned to the force?

I think Rey is Han and Leia's daughter. And she was being trained by Luke when Kylo Ren went bad and killed the other trainees. Then Luke had to hide Rey to keep her safe from her brother so hid her away and Jedi mind tricked Han and Leia into forgetting her. Then hid himself away so he could spill the secret.

i know I'm wrong but would love to be even a little right so I could stun Star Wars mad DH with my genius. Grin

I agree Ovo. The craft leaving her on Jakku was the same craft that Han was using for smuggling. not that I have been to watch it twice or anything

Plus, BenRen took his mask off to Rey, and perhaps I was seeing what I was looking for, but I thought that he was looking for a reaction.

I'd be upset that Rey turned out to be Luke's dd as it would be lazy writing if so. Why did Leia & Han not go looking their neice once they knew Luke had vanished? They're clearly related somehow (Although tbh, Han couldn't find the MF so I don't think he's that bright).
Ren reminded me of my 17year old dn when he was in yr9/10. He got a bloody firm telling off and banned from his games/social life/phone/computer/anything nice until he turned himself around. I was desperately willing Han to forget the jedi thing and just tell him off and drag him home. The poor boy was so uncertain I think he could actually be on the inside gathering info and be good deep down. I was half expecting ren & ray to be siblings. There's form in the family for discarding a sibling under the guise of protection. I didn't expect Leia & Han to have only one child (because all the volatile RL relationships I know look at the cosy newborn days with Rose tinted glasses and have another DC).
Leia has the force too so no reason why her dd couldn't. I was gutted in the original films when no-one let her have a lightsabre and explore the force like Luke. Finn is most definitely alive.

The giant hologram baddie (what's his name?) is someone from the original films, cannot travel, old, should have died a long time ago...

Not just that purple but to set the concept of being Luke's daughter would need a massive explanation and that would really slow the story down. Plus, as I said on the other thread, Luke seemed much more perturbed by seeing his original lightsaber than his putative daughter.

I do hope that she is Leia's daughter - Leia was the original badass heroine who needed no male assistance - it would square the circle nicely I think.

I also think I am hugely over invested!

I like the idea of it being leia but I can't help but feel it starts with anakin and it ends with anakin.

We should all do fan fiction?!
I'm just gutted I will need to wait years to find out.

Theories:
Rey gotta be a Skywalker.

Han Solo dead but maybe back in flashbacks

Luke has possibly found balance in the force by acknowledging the dark side but walks the line between both.
Therefore Anakin/Vader could return as both to teach either Luke, Rey or Kylo Ren or even all. There is a concept portrait of him floating around which shows him as a composite of both and its scary as shit which is why it was rumoured to have been dropped for VIII.
Remember the Jedi lost their ability to use the force the more they strove towards the light side and the dark side practitioners only eventually found pain and death.
Qui Gon always advocated following the flow of the force and letting it tell people what to do so at times he went against the council which is why they never promoted him to master.
He then teaches Yoda its all about balance within there is no light without dark etc within and Yoda teaches Luke on Dagoba. Cos there's no way in hell it took Yoda that long to just learn how to retain consciousness after death there had to be more to learn.

I have no further evidence for this is other than Luke force choking the guards at Jabbas palace in Return of the Jedi and that's definitely a dark side ability and Luke was the only one who ever acknowledged he had a dark side within himself and seemed to have better overall control once he had made his peace with that.

Not read the thread, not going to as it might destabilise my theory!

Rely is either Luke or Leia's daughter.

Arguments for Luke:
In her 'home' on Jakku she had a doll wearing Luke's uniform, she also had his helmet.
R2D2 wakes up on her return (he'd gone into sleep mode ever since Luke left).

Arguments for Leia/Han:
I'll start with my timeline theory - Leia and Han split up when they sent Ben off to train with Luke (she says clearly that she lost them both when they sent him away), she is pregnant at this point, but Han never finds out. Rey is born, but kept a secret. When Rey is old enough she's sent to train with Luke (the only other person to know her real identity), pretty soon after that things go tits up with Ben so Luke hides her on Jakku.
Theory backed up by Leia's hug to her when they "meet", she definitely sniffs her in a motherly fashion.

ThThe big bad guy is Palpatine.

I'm coming round to the idea that she is Han and leias daughter. Kylo sensed that she felt a connection to Han - the father that she never had.
Also isn't it a massive coincidence that the millennium falcon was left on the same planet as rey? And she knew all about it, but had never noticed it was actually there? Jedi mind trick I reckon!

I just think doing the separated siblings again is a bit meh - though separated cousins isn't much better really.

Maybe she will turnout to be yodas 😄 there's a twist.
