Academy Awards fans assemble!

Howdy!
I love me a bit of Oscars night action, I always stay up all night and watch the ceremony live.
This year I'm actually hopeful to achieve seeing every film nominated for Best Picture before the ceremony. I had to go to the cinema three times this past weekend to get them all in but so far I've seen Imitation Game (loved it), The Theory of Everything (loved it, sobbed!), Boyhood (enjoyed it more than I thought I would) and Grand Budapest Hotel (thought it was ok but nothing very special)
So I've got to see Whiplash, Selma, American Sniper and Birdman. I'm not looking forward to American Sniper but Bradley Cooper might make it ok and I think Birdman might be weird...

Anyone trying to do the same?

Re liveblogs, if you go to the Guardian homepage (hideous as it now looks, grr) and scroll down it's there. Not showing on Google for some reason. They have full length photos of dresses on arrivals so far.

My DS loved Big Hero 6, for whoever asked, and I'd recommend it too.

I've not seen an Oscar show in years, I just happened to be at my parents (who have the sky subscription) with everyone working tomorrow so I've got the TV buttons all to myself. Currently flicking between E, Living & the oscars channel.

swapped back to E as Alexa is cringey. I know she is there for fashion and doing a poor job at that but still you would think she should have seen the movies! Will watch later and ff her out!

Not keen on all the scalloped edge necklines - well.g Rosamund Pike and Julianne Moore so far. I am a little disappointed in JM who is brilliant but looked a bit nondescript. Is it a thing to go in for either pale colours or monochrome if you're expected to win? Thinking of Gwyneth P and Julia Roberts.

I think Rosamund Pike is my best dressed in a real Oscars dress. She is just so beautiful and kind I love her quirky posh English personality - loved her at the Baftas a couple of years ago when she presented after obviously having a few too many. Also love Naomi Watts always looks a bit edgy, cool but still elegant.

I'm only really liking Marion Cotillard's dress. The rest are all a bit seen it all b fire and bland. Cate Blanchett's necklace and plain dress is striking but a bold coloured dress but have been even more wow IMO.

Not loving the sea of pale washed out dresses. Off to bed before the main show, have fun ladies
