Please and thank you.

Ooooh puddings - yes. Mine would be.... erm - some sort of cheesecake or a gooey chocolate torte or the luscious passionfruit & mango thing that I had at the Cinnamon Club - fabulous!

Hmmm - my menu has not followed a theme - note to Semper - do not go on Come Dine With Me

ABitWrong · 21/08/2009 22:24

Not a big parsnip fan I'm afraidbut alwayswilling to try

Marrow...um....stuff with itself and that nice tomato pesto..dress pesto is it? Lotsof garlic. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and cheese (dairy or non-dairy)
I am just making thisup.
I have had several sizeable courgettes in the kitchen for days

Have you tried making dizzydixies famous MN cheesecake? White chocolate. Oh Gawd. It's easy and so good.

Rhubarb crumble and custard.

ABitWrong · 21/08/2009 22:27

wish I could afford to have pudding here

or a whole meal...

piprabbit · 21/08/2009 22:27

Tis very trendy in smart eateries to deconstruct recipes (or so I'm told).

Deconstructed lasagne - seperate heaps of tomato sauce and lasagne sheets mmmmmm.

My DD can also be funny if she can't work out exactly what the item on her plate is made up of.... funny creatures aren't they?

IdrisTheDragon · 21/08/2009 22:28

What are the vegan chocolates called? I can remember them starting with a b but that us about it.

ShowOfHands · 21/08/2009 22:29

I've been trying to get my nose pierced for months. I keep going to the shop, standing outside and then wandering off under the pretence of 'oh look something over there, quick, look, let's go and er, look over there, can you see...' Am 28 fgs.

Is the BBQ something you're looking forward to? Will they cater for veggies?

If you put a whole marrow on a bbq it explodes. Oh yes, I went to university.

piprabbit · 21/08/2009 22:30

Good grief - we seem to have moved swiftly to the most important bit of the meal - sorry I was lagging behind...

I'm going through a merguine phase at the moment - with peaches and raspberries.

piprabbit · 21/08/2009 22:31

Showofhands - which course involves experimenting with exploding vegetables? Sounds more fun than economics....

sazzlelou · 21/08/2009 22:31

No problem

Try thinking about things but none important things so you're active but you can fall asleep.
Like name a veg beginning with each of the letter of the alphabet? Or soap character?

Mmm rhubarb crumble yummy

There was deconstructed banoffee pie on come dine with me the other day

ABitWrong · 21/08/2009 22:32

More recently had my eyebrow done...now I want another

We have a vegan restaurant in our local city. I went out of interest and expected not to like it but it was absolutely amazing. Their cakes (I still can't understand how they made them) were utterly impressive.

piprabbit · 21/08/2009 22:34

oooh - now that's a pudding to conjure with, banoffee pie. I have a glut of bananas at the moment (special offer at the market), perhaps I make a pie tomorrow....

ShowOfHands · 21/08/2009 22:36

What course? Oh if I'd gone to the lectures that day then my devilishly handsome and somewhat subversive housemate would never have introduced me to exploding marrows and what happens when you wire an onion into the mains. He works for GCHQ now.

Must have my nose done. Will go well with my purple hair. I'm not squeamish, not entirely sure what is stopping me. Wanted to do it for years.

sazzlelou · 21/08/2009 22:36

Oooh send me some piprabbit. I haven't had any for ages!

ABitWrong · 21/08/2009 22:37

Oh, I make vegan cakesall the time [nonchalant]

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 21/08/2009 22:37

You know what I hadn't heard about banoffee pie until very recently. DH introduced me to it. Oh sweet moses.

I didn't know Readers' Wives was real until the other day either.

Oh I've lived a sheltered, yet vegetable filled life.

ShowOfHands · 21/08/2009 22:39

Oh don't be nonchalant, brag. It's a skill. DH is the baker in this house. I do a mean gingerbread man but otherwise I'm a cook. Cakes and their ilk are beyond me.

ABitWrong · 21/08/2009 22:40

Cakes are more fun really, because peoplegenerally want to eat them.
Dinners are draining (well, with 4 dcs with differing tastes...)

IdrisTheDragon · 21/08/2009 22:42

I have a fruit salad here which I might eat. Or might go and find chocolate.

Decisions, decisions.

ABitWrong · 21/08/2009 22:42

I took more ADs than I shouldhave done. Not dangerousamounts. But I started to feel funny and didn';t know if it was side effects or just me panicking.

OP posts:
ABitWrong · 21/08/2009 22:43

A ready-prepared fruit salad? I'll have it if you don't want it.

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 21/08/2009 22:43

See I have 1 preschooler so baking is the messiest business. We end up with flour and egg coating the soft furnishings, sticky fingers running over the walls, half the cake mix inside her and the other half in her hair. Dinner is contained, clean, less messy.

Are your DCs old enough to cook for you? Nose piercing hints at being older than a preschooler...

ThePinkOne · 21/08/2009 22:44

Booja's? Whoever asked about the vegan chocs.

Hello ABW ((((((((()))))))))
