i can't i am afraid but i can join you in feeling black if that's any use?

(you do "know" me from similar threads but i don't want to out myself in public - sorry)

georgiemum · 05/01/2009 16:33

Poor you. Can you go out for a walk? Or have a coffee and a muffin, that usually works for me. Phone a friend, put on some daft music and dance around the kitchen, read a trashy magazine, watch your favourite dvd...

is it helping?

naswm · 05/01/2009 16:34

hello whitenoise. I dont know who you are but CAT me if you want.

HUG

Is your 'colour' black? Mine is brown. The 'Brown bear'.

naswm · 05/01/2009 16:35

thanks georgiemum - I have been doing lots of those things to no avail, but I guess I will have to do some more....

whitenoise · 05/01/2009 16:36

naswm, i haven;t activated cat yet () but was just trying to reassure you that i am not a hairy handed trucker!!

Can you go for a walk? The cold air hurts today...i know you will understand that

naswm · 05/01/2009 16:37

ruby - agree re January, but atm theyt are all pretty shit (Fuck how pathetic does that sound?)

georgie - I dont have a 'colour' but I wear a lot of green and also like red. Neither is a depressive colour, but I dont think that is the problem

I just wish I could sleep for a very long while and wake up when everything is all over.

I havent either whitenoise but then up until a couple of days ago I thought I had left mn... I have not been out in the cold. Had an accident with a candle earlier though.

Phone a friend naswm! You know who.

whitenoise · 05/01/2009 16:40

nas....go fora walk in the cold please, much better, in fact i used to walk a lot. "wandering" i used to call it, once i walked about 15 miles before the fog had lifted.

Can you let anything out on here?

georgiemum · 05/01/2009 16:41

Aparently wearing bright colours cheers you up. The colour is when I feel crappy and it is just my description (Churchill had his black dog, I have my brown bear).

It is cold, dark and wet. Christmas is over and all the ligths are down. The economy is going tits up and the kids are going back to school. What's there not to feel bad about?

Try to do at least one thing a day just for you and something that you enjoy. Even if it's just having a quiet bath with a good book (leaving instructions only to be disturbed if the house is on fire).

DumbledoresGirl · 05/01/2009 16:46

Here you are N: a nice hot cup of tea, one of my best sponge cakes and a snuggly blanket to hide under.

(Since I can tell you do not want to talk).

Oh and a few of these too:

naswm · 05/01/2009 16:47

didnt know you were online
whitenoise - I think I WILL go out
georgiemum - I wear a lot of bright clothes. The embarrassing thing is that I do a lot of things for myself already

Feeling like a fraud now (not a troll fraud but a pathetic spoilt brat fraud)

OP posts:
naswm · 05/01/2009 16:48

thanks for the tea and cake and blanket DG - VERY much appreciated. Didnt know you were online, or would have nudged you earlier

georgiemum · 05/01/2009 16:49

Oh come on, we all feel like this and MN is the place to come, stamp your feet, hold your breath and have a strop if you want.

DumbledoresGirl · 05/01/2009 16:50

No-one who knows you would think you were a spoilt brat naswm. In fact, you could do with sliding a bit further along the spoilt scale IMO - in the nicest possible way of course.

I am not online btw. Just wasting time here until builders go home and I can inspect works.

naswm · 05/01/2009 16:50

I dont want a strop - I think I need a good cry and a cuddle

OP posts:
georgiemum · 05/01/2009 16:52

Ohhhhhhh. Cry it out. Sometimes it really helps. I can't supply the cuddles but I am sending happy vibes.

DumbledoresGirl · 05/01/2009 16:53

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

There's the cuddle. You can cry alone or over the phone if you want. You need to let go of whatever it is you are feeling and crying is such a good release.

naswm · 05/01/2009 16:53

Unfortunately I cant supply the tears though

OP posts:
DumbledoresGirl · 05/01/2009 16:54

Does that help?

georgiemum · 05/01/2009 16:55

Look at the pile of washing/ironing/washing up... that's enough to get me started.

naswm · 05/01/2009 16:56

yes thank you

OP posts:
DumbledoresGirl · 05/01/2009 16:56

LOL georgiemum, that's a good one (not that I ever need help to start crying).
