I'm really hoping someone can calm me down. Last weekend I was feeling behind my ears and found what feels like bone under the mastoid. On the other side it's just flat. My mind has went to cancer. I'm reading about lymphoma now ans going out of my mind

Back again to being worried about this. My husband said I need to trust my gp and if she thought it was anything sinister she would refer me. Hate feeling like this all the time

Health anxiety can be really difficult but your GP has looked at this and said it looks like a node. They also said you can go back in four weeks if still worried. So maybe just make an appointment for then and ask again, ask for bloods to be run? Honestly like I said my daughter still has this and I'm not worried about it anymore because I've been reassured she's fine and healthy. If you feel well it's very unlikely to be anything sinister. Your husband is right. Maybe make an appointment to discuss your health anxiety though.

But your GP has told you what it is.
What are you worrying about now?

I have a permanent small hard lump on one side of my face, by the top of my ear. I was quite worried too when I first noticed it. My GP referred me to ENT and I had an ultrasound which found only a small, probably permanently enlarged lymph node. I go every 6 months-year for a check-up (must go again actually) but nothing changes.

OP, I've just quoted my own post so you see again how it's entirely possible for something that ticks the Dr Google 'suspicious of cancer' boxes to be entirely benign. But with respect, this isn't about your lump any more. This is about your anxiety, either as a mischannelled response to something else that's going on for you, or as a standalone condition that needs treatment far more than your lump does. I think you need to be directing your attention to this as the real issue.

I was told it was a lymph node and it's not really bothered now since
