I’m really struggling with my MH at the moment so thought it might help myself and others to share what we are grateful for.

I’m grateful for :-

My physical health is good with no regular pain
I don’t have any financial worries and can pretty much buy what I want to make my life more comfortable (Helps that I don’t have expensive tastes!)
I have a safe, quiet and comfortable home
I am receiving caring and compassionate MH support from my therapist and psychiatrist
I have gorgeous pets who light up my life
I have plenty of time to spend on hobbies and to relax
I have cut abusive family and partner out of my life

Anyone else like to contribute?

I'm grateful that DP and I have enough passive income to cover everything we need. Not everything we WANT, but just need. So no matter how tight things are, we can survive.

Yes, that’s a fortunate position to be in these days. I am also grateful for that.

Today I’m grateful that I am able to have a lazy day as I only slept for 1 hour and 10 minutes last night.
Also looking forward to M&S crab linguine for tea this evening.
And grateful that I can see the lovely views where I live.

Today I am grateful for seeing an improvement in my daughter's sickness. I am also grateful for my maths GCSE class this morning as it's a great distraction from worries for 3hrs and one of my classmates made me laugh out loud which I haven't done much of recently so that was nice.
On another note, has anyone downloaded the daily spark app? It's free and ran by the people who do the dare app, they get you to write out two daily gratitudes and choose two daily affirmations, the app is really cute also and just helps remind you to count your blessings.

Hello all,

Today I am so grateful for the blood results for my son coming back with what we'd hoped for, not perfect but going in the right direction!!
I am also grateful for the doctor seeing my daughter and checking her over and prescribing an antibiotic.

Today I’m grateful for my kind and caring psychiatrist who has helped me through a particularly dark time recently. He thinks I’m safe now but I’m not.
Also grateful that spring is in the air and the evenings are getting lighter now.

So glad to hear you have a kind mental health professional helping you. What do you mean you're not safe?

Keep doing what you're doing and you will soon feel in a safer head space. You're taking all the right steps OP, I believe you can get to a better place. Hugs

Hi OP, glad to see you back here, was thinking about this thread yesterday. I'm glad to hear that you have your dog for support/company and that you still have hope.

Today I'm grateful that my kids had a good day at school, that I had enough energy to get through my whole to-do list, that I got to see my friend and have a cup of tea with her.

Today I'm grateful that all my family are happy and healthy ❤️

Hi @hk1993x and @Nogodsnomasters
Today I’m grateful to live by the beautiful English coast and that I am well enough to walk along it. Also grateful that people care that I am still here.

Whycantgiraffesdance · 23/03/2024 11:20

@hk1993x i second that ❤️

there’s so much talk of cancer and suffering in the world at the moment it really does put things in perspective and makes you appreciate what u have. Obviously we all have our own battles to face and just because someone is worse off doesn’t mean our problems are invalid but it does make you grateful for the little things.

this is a great thread ❤️

I am grateful this evening to have snuggled under a fleece with my dh and watched a good old 90's movie. It was literally the only nice thing that happened today.

Well done for finding something positive @Nogodsnomasters. Some days just suck.

Today I’m grateful for the time and money to be able to enjoy a relaxing drink and read my book in a cafe.
Also, grateful to be feeling a bit better after some physical ailments recently.
Looking forward to the clocks changing and spending more time in the garden.
