16 month old won’t let me feed her

My 16 month old has totally stopped me feeding her. It’s stressing me out! She wants to do it herself but all she does is pour everything down herself, barely gets any food in her mouth. I honestly can’t cope anymore. Totally had enough of worry about her food intake! She’s tiny as it is 😤

oh and give them appropriate choices when you can

  • "Would you like cheese or ham in your omelette?"

  • let them serve themselves for things like veggies from a central dish

  • What shape shall we make our sandwiches? Squares or triangle?

Even better is to let her make and cut a sandwich up (and accept her attempt, don't be tempted to 'correct' it - even if the butter is in a splodge in one corner, and the peanut butter is on the plate, and she squishes it with the knife instead of cutting etc)

You'll be fine OP. Solid starts.com will take you through it all from first finger foods and beyond. Start as if she was six months and see her come on at her own pace.
