Sorry, I don't know if this is the place but I know it is for traffic - MNHQ, please feel free to move.

Without any details, I saved a life in this situation, physically and emotionally, totally by chance. I am feeling a range of emotions and I am not sure how to feel.

As someone who lost their partner in this manner, thank you. The fatal accident inquiry took a few years to happen and it was clear even then just how disturbed the staff involved still were by what they witnessed.

It sounds as though he wanted to connect with someone, to talk about his intentions, and was looking for someone to approach. Thank goodness that person was you Flowers

That experience can run very deep. I suggest you call Samaritans and talk it out.

Well done. Just take care of yourself. I had an incident last year where I found someone who has gone through with a suicide attempt, sadly they later died. On the day itself I felt really calm and in control, dealing with emergency services etc, but it really hit me a few days later, so just be aware of emotions that may creep on you. I know the end result was very different for your person, but it stills stirs up an enormous amount of feelings to deal with something like that.

Well done. And thank you on behalf of all the people whose lives you've kept normal today.

Well done. I was first responder and part of a small group who saved someone with cpr and a public defibrillator. I found that talking it through with friends and family really helped me process the very weird feelings. I probably bored my loved ones but talking really helped.

I just wanted to say thank you for what you did. You are amazing. A friend of mine died this way years ago. He was 21. Maybe if someone like yourself had spoken to him, he would still be here today. What you did was courageous and many wouldn't have stepped in like you did.
