I hope no-one minds me starting a follow up thread. I know some people were waiting for me to update so I thought I would but happy to ask MNHQ to delete if one of the long term posters wanted to start it 😊

@Skyliner001 Ive had HA on and off since 18/19 that I can remember and I'm 40 now. I sometimes have years between bouts. It's been worse since having my DC and I definitely have the peaks and troughs.

@KasparKat I take 10mg three times a day but at my height of anxiety was taking 40mg three times a day as prescribed. If I feel quite panicky now I take a couple extra but obviously I am not advising this as I'm not a Dr!

@tmh88 I have done ear candling. It made no difference to me at all. I read afterwards there's no evidence that they work and they can actually cause damage so then I worried myself sick I'd done terrible damage to my ears! 🤷🏼‍♀️

@polkadotpixie sending good vibes for Sunday x

@AJ297 Welcome to the team! I totally empathise as I'm a gynae/boob worrier. I have the breast clinic next week too. My pain has improved but now I'm worrying they'll find something new I don't know about 😬

Skyliner001 · 04/03/2021 20:41

@polkadotpixie Omg that does help, thank you so much xx

3boyshere · 04/03/2021 20:48

@onlyreadingneverposting8 @polkadotpixie thank you lovely people mr go said it is not piles possible a skin tag or polyp. I am so stressed about it x

tmh88 · 04/03/2021 21:12

@StooriMidori I will give it a miss, just in case!🤭

Still majorly stressing over my lymph nodes! I have prodded and poked them all day and my neck aches now Sad

onlyreadingneverposting8 · 04/03/2021 21:12

@3boyshere have you been referred for it to be looked at?

tmh88 · 04/03/2021 21:14

@polkadotpixie I never really got any real explanation for it however tolteridine did help! The reason I ended up with the op was because of frequent infections I got really ill with it, I had surgery on my bladder and urethra and touch wood not had one since!

tmh88 · 04/03/2021 21:15

@onlyreadingneverposting8 I got some good herbal sleeping tablets from Aldi! Might be worth a try x

tmh88 · 04/03/2021 21:22

@polkadotpixie just had a look through some old paper work for you, the op I had was urethral dilation with bladder distension x

3boyshere · 04/03/2021 21:33

@onlyreadingneverposting8
I have not been referred as my doctor seems confident it is nothing to be concerned about x

AJ297 · 04/03/2021 23:52

@3boyshere I went to the dr a few weeks ago with a lump just 'inside', he gave me a thorough examination 😳 and said it looked like an anal fissure. They can cause lumps but I can only feel mine when I wipe. I had an issue months ago where it stung every time I went to the loo, I think it just never healed properly. I don't know if this helps you at all.

I'm still prodding the lymph nodes in my armpits, even though they've gotten smaller I'm still convincing myself I'm on deaths door and poking and prodding looking for more. Breast clinic on Wednesday so hoping for some answers then. They've only been there a week and a bit as far as I know, I wish I was normal and could just use the watch and wait approach rather than calling the doctor at every opportunity.

AJ297 · 04/03/2021 23:54

@StooriMidori oh I hope you get some answers! I'm the same, keep checking for problems so I'm not caught off guard when they find something I've not already found. I have my moments of clarity where I compare this to the 100's of other times I've convinced myself of issues and been absolutely fine and then swing back to 'what if'

TheSilentStars · 05/03/2021 06:28

I'd lost you!
I thought you'd all gone quiet and the thread had just fallen down the list!
Morning all, will catch up later! Brew

tmh88 · 05/03/2021 07:01

Glad you found us @TheSilentStars

I’ve been up since 6 poking lymph nodes in my neck! Sad I’m honestly so sick of worrying over them!

Blimeyoreilly2020 · 05/03/2021 07:32

Hello, please may I join you? Have convinced myself my liver is failing - this is off the back of a slightly high bilirubin level...but I’ve had an ultrasound that apparently looked normal. I know it’s my anxiety that’s making me feel weak and sick...and now I’m losing weight because I’ve scared myself into a state where I’ve lost my appetite🙈.... gp phone appointment booked but I’m not sure what comfort they can give me. DH just thinks I’m nuts.☹️

tmh88 · 05/03/2021 07:38

@Blimeyoreilly2020 I’m no dr, but my dad has liver disease! I really, really think you would know if you had any liver problems xx

Skyliner001 · 05/03/2021 08:21

Morning all, hope you are all well, I've decided to stop rummaging around in my vagina today, to be honest I have never really given it a thorough examination, and so I don't really know what it should feel like up there! There is a surprising lack of information online about it, in fact there are lots of studies about how very little is known about the inside of women's vaginas, it's like they have been a taboo subject! Sometimes I wish my reproductive bits were on the outside, so I could keep an eye on them like a man! However… I'm due a smear in June, so I will just ask them then.I don't have any worrying symptoms really, and I will keep an eye on the spotting. But that seems to have gone away. I don't think it does me any good to poker round up there, as I'm probably setting things off!! As always I'm trying to have a well-behaved weekend…

It's so weird though, the minute I decide to move on from one thing, my brain says to me, why don't you go back to Breast lump!

Skyliner001 · 05/03/2021 08:34

Predictably went back to one of my areas in my breasts which I upset about, and had a right good dig over that. I did a really thorough breast exam on Tuesday, I really need to stop poking them as much! I make myself so, plus I keep finding ribs and jabbing away at them to check that they're just ribs. Even though I know they are.

Skyliner001 · 05/03/2021 08:35

Hope everyone else has had a better start to the day!

Skyliner001 · 05/03/2021 08:35

@Blimeyoreilly2020 Welcome to the thread! You are very welcome to join us! As you can see from my previous three post, you are very much among friends here!

AJ297 · 05/03/2021 09:17

@Skyliner001 I've been feeling my ribs too, and moving in different directions to see where the bones move to on each side.

Skyliner001 · 05/03/2021 10:25

They are surprisingly worrisome!

ofwarren · 05/03/2021 10:56

Morning everyone
I took a couple of days off so I need to read back to catch up.
Whatever is going on in my ear/sinus/throat has caused numbness in my cheek which obviously makes me fret.
The stuff in my sinuses and ears seems to be getting thicker and less moveable. I managed to blow a bit out of my nose and it is white and thick like glue. It also tastes bad if I get some in my mouth.
My whole jaw bone on that side hurts and when I eat, I get a pain when the salivary gland is activated.
I've had no headache for 2 days which is obviously good.
MRI on Saturday.

Blimeyoreilly2020 · 05/03/2021 10:56

Thank you for your kind words tmh88 and @skyliner001, if I hadn’t had such a close relationship with wine over the years I could probably persuade myself to be more rational. I’ve given up now as the anxiety it causes is just too much! I always find all sorts of lumps when I check my boobs Sky - I usually try to see if there’s a corresponding one on the other side to reassure myself...no idea of that’s in any way rational either🤷🏼‍♀️!....also when I went for my ultrasound the sonographer pointed out I was prob just sore from poking around😬😳

Skyliner001 · 05/03/2021 11:18

I definitely do do the same regarding the corresponding my boobs are not completely symmetrical! Quite a bit of similar tissue in a similar place so, Or if there isn't, then there is a very similar feeling lumpy bit in some of the bit of the breast. Blooming boobs!

Skyliner001 · 05/03/2021 11:21

Sorry for another of my random questions, but this has been making me wonder recently. Out of all of you who suffer from health anxiety, who finds that they want to avoid the doctor, and that tests really really scared them, and they will do anything to avoid that? And who prefers to go to the doctor, and get the reassurance and have the test. I've always been someone who tended to want to avoid the doctor, I think because of my previous lymphoma, so it's just massively triggering.
