I hope no-one minds me starting a follow up thread. I know some people were waiting for me to update so I thought I would but happy to ask MNHQ to delete if one of the long term posters wanted to start it 😊

Yes!! I get this vibration thing it's such a strange feeling but I've only had it the past couple of months when my anxiety has been at the highest, I also get pins and needles with it. I'm so worried I have something like MS but too scared to call the doctors too because I know if they send me for MRI I'll be non- stop worrying myself. I've recently been getting stomach pain at the top left with diarrhoe so obviously I think I've got something seriously wrong with my stomach when it probably is just my anxiety - it is severe! I'm also waiting for a heart scan because I had an abnormal ecg when I was being investigated for chest pain and pressure feeling in my chest. I've just rang Hospital to chase that up and they said it's just routine which did make me feel better that it's not urgent but I can't help but worry

GransKitchen · 22/03/2021 12:10

I feel like I can't live my life with this health anxiety. I really want to order a new car, which I would get on finance or a loan but then I'm thinking I can't do that because what if something happens to me I can't leave DH to pay for it all on his own. I hate feeling like this Sad

Nogodsnomasters · 22/03/2021 12:48

The pounding with normal heart rate or slightly elevated pulse is definitely a symptom of anxiety. A doctor last week told me this at the hospital.[/quote]
Thank you so much for this! It's good to hear someone has heard it from a doctor and I can just tell my brain it's anxiety causing it without going into mad research on it.

So I rang doctor this morning to discuss my acid reflux as I said in my last post and she wanted a stool sample! I've never given one before it was horrifying I just did it there now. She wants to check for bacteria in my stool before giving me the acid reflux medication, that's made me even more scared for god's sake.

argueifnecessary · 22/03/2021 12:57

@GransKitchen

I will definitely be sent for an MRI with my symptoms right now and the thought is making me very nauseous.
I'm having a horribly stressful and anxious day today.

I sympathise so much regarding triggers like the hold music. I live right next to a massive hospital and the constant ambulances and a helicopter every half an hour probably isn't helping too much either. Although at calmer times I can totally ignore that or think the ambulances are helping the people in them get to the hospital where they could be treated and get better.

argueifnecessary · 22/03/2021 13:01

@GransKitchen
Posted to soon. But I have the same thoughts. Like I need to have a haircut or some new leggings but there's no point because I'll be dead soon anyway.

TheSilentStars · 22/03/2021 13:28

Checking in and also vibrating away here. I'd not heard of Pots before.

MrsWhites · 22/03/2021 13:32

Hi everyone,

Sorry no experience of vibrating feelings so can’t help there.

Just wanted to say hope everyone is ok and keeping well. Perhaps the spring and maybe a bit of sunshine over the next few weeks will help us all feel brighter.

KasparKat · 22/03/2021 13:44

@Nogodsnomasters my DM has had reflux symptoms and she also had to give a stool sample for some kind of bacteria h.pilori or something like that? So that will be standard.

Have you tried Gaviscon Advance? It is expensive but the only thing that has helped my reflux, although mine is LPR rather than GERD.

I'm glad that others have the vibration symptoms too, it makes it more likely to be cause my anxiety. I wish I could just turn off whatever it is in my body that creates adrenaline.

It's a beautiful sunny day here and I desperately want to go for a walk but the last couple of times I've done that it has made my dizziness much worse and led to me panicking the rest of the day so I feel like I'm now confined to the house 🙄

argueifnecessary · 22/03/2021 14:19

@KasparKat

Funny you should mention adrenaline because PoTS makes you have adrenaline surges in the night where you wake up with it, shaky, hot, feeling it rushing through you, sometimes nauseous, fast heart rate or BP or both and there's nothing you could do about it but wait for it to pass. Mine was so extreme last week, that is why I refuse to believe mine was just a panic attack.

Did you have covid? Pots seems to be quite common in long covid. But new research says the vaccines are curative of covid induced pots in many cases.

I haven't had Covid as far as I know so mine must be something else.

AJ297 · 22/03/2021 14:38

Hi all, had a pretty ok weekend. Now having a wobble about the lymph node in my armpit. I think I'm still doubting it being ok as nothing was seen on ultrasound. It's feeling harder now and I'm not sure if that's a good sign of it shrinking or if it's bad. The lump in my other armpit seems unchanged 🥺

KasparKat · 22/03/2021 15:00

Yes I think I had covid last March but these symptoms only seemed to start in Jan. Interesting about the adrenaline surges with POTs as I was feeling really relaxed on Sat and then woke up on Sun feeling awful for no reason I could think of. I've had my vaccine though and no improvement.

I just hope the GP takes it seriously as he was saying that these symptoms are common in slim women and seemed to suggest that POTS isn't really an illness 🤔

What does the adrenaline surge feel like? I've had something that I described as like an adrenaline rush, it come after a panic attack and it's hard to explain but it's like a hot rush and runny feeling in my stomach and around my heart/lungs.

I tested positive in October for covid and I started feeling "funny" around January. I've been to the gp who has said it's long covid, I didn't think it could be because I only had it mild in October and then was ok until January and now I have a whole load of symptoms and a massive increase in anxiety

KasparKat · 22/03/2021 16:25

For me it feels like it would if you've just had a big shock or about to go into an exam. So pounding heart, I can literally feel the adrenaline rush in my stomach, feel shaky and on edge, shallow breathing etc.

tmh88 · 22/03/2021 16:48

@GransKitchen sometimes when I get really anxious/stressed and I can feel it building up my temp rises! I’ve never asked anyone in real life if it’s the same for them! Blush its like an intense hot flush! I also when I get like that usually have a nervous stomach/cramps and can feel slightly lightheaded x

AJ297 · 22/03/2021 17:00

@tmh88 I have the same with the temp. Like the second you think you feel something new the panic sets in and it's like a hot wave going through you from head to toe

KasparKat · 22/03/2021 17:16

Interesting article here on body tremors/vibrating www.anxietycentre.com/anxiety-symptoms/body-tremors.shtml

Seems to be very normal as part of anxiety and the body going into hyperarousal. Also says it can come out of the blue so doesn't have to happen when you are feeling particularly stressed or anxious.

I think most of my symptoms could be either anxiety or Pots. I just want to make it get better!

Yes that's exactly what the GP said it was for, I don't know why I'm so scared, I always feel stupid for being so scared of these things. Yeah I've tried the advanced gaviscon too and it doesn't seem to make much of a difference either.

Skyliner001 · 23/03/2021 08:56

Hi ladies, how are you all doing? I was a bit pokey yesterday, I'm fully on dressed at the moment, although I'm vaguely worried about my smear test, my periods are irregular, so I just want the next one to come, and then I will book it in. As usual it's my breasts that are on my mind though! Hoping to have a productive day though.

tmh88 · 23/03/2021 11:02

@Skyliner001 hello! Feel like I haven’t spoke to you in ages 😂 I’m doing really well actually! No health worries at all today, distracted looking for wedding dresses, have any of you bought online? Sorry your having a pokey day they are the worst aren’t they!

HildegardeCrowe · 23/03/2021 11:09

Hi all, hope everyone’s managing to put one foot in front of the other. I’ve literally had a complete breakdown and been signed off work for 3 weeks. DD is home from uni later and can’t hide how bad I am from her. The trigger this time is my overwhelming fear of blood cancer; I get bruises all the time but have now had 3 lots of normal blood tests in the last 6 months (last one at Christmas time). All normal and been reassured by GP it’s just normal thinning skin but each time I get a bruise, I completely fold and this time can’t function. Why can’t I ignore it and get in with my life?

tmh88 · 23/03/2021 13:30

@HildegardeCrowe sorry to hear you are struggling, it really is so hard sometimes isn’t it! I also wish I could ignore it and enjoy myself! Go easy on yourself Flowers

HildegardeCrowe · 23/03/2021 16:37

Thank you @tmh88. You sound on top of things - an inspiration.

GransKitchen · 23/03/2021 18:51

Well my new thing today is...I think I have a bloated belly so I'm thinking a cyst, cancer. It is probably because I've not stopped eating all lockdown but I just noticed it when in the bath earlier and now I can't stop poking it. Always something...Sad

Skyliner001 · 24/03/2021 07:07

Morning everyone, I can't believe it will not be that long before we are onto a new thread!!

I woke up and had a brief poke this morning, and then discovered some lines on the underside of my breast, which I think may be caused by my bra or just stretchmarks in general, but you know what it's like!

Skyliner001 · 24/03/2021 07:08

Hey @tmh88 hope you are doing okay, it does feel like it's been awhile! Does anybody know how @Lib3rtine He's doing as well! Feel like it's ages since we spoke to her ex
