I hope no-one minds me starting a follow up thread. I know some people were waiting for me to update so I thought I would but happy to ask MNHQ to delete if one of the long term posters wanted to start it 😊

It’s all moved really fast was a general remark to the thread not you @ofwarren haha!

tmh88 · 07/03/2021 17:50

@Skyliner001 have you changed any detergents/bubble baths lately? I used a tea tree bubble bath once and after a few days I had really bad burning/itching/spotting! It cleared with thrush treatment xx

Skyliner001 · 07/03/2021 17:58

@tmh88 This is going to sound so sad, but I got a bunch of lush stuff for Christmas (big bath bombs), and it feels like a treat and a bit more indulgent than my faith in nature (which is very gentle and natural) and so I didn't start using it until Feb...

I didn't want to waste it when my anxiety was so bad in January, so I started using it like I said.

And it's probably something that I've had this itching, and the spotting too. 😬😳😬😳🌈

tmh88 · 07/03/2021 18:07

I would bet it’s the lush stuff! I have really sensitive skin! Only have to so much as look at a bath bomb and I get full body hives (slight exaggeration Grin) @Skyliner001

Skyliner001 · 07/03/2021 18:09

Eep! I wonder if it is! 🤞🏼

Skyliner001 · 07/03/2021 18:14

I don't know what I would do without you ladies honestly, you are also steadying it's incredible how we can do it for each other but not for ourselves though!

tmh88 · 07/03/2021 18:18

I know @Skyliner001 I love how rational we all are for eachother but not ourselves 😂

Can I ask has anyone had a partially erupted/impacted wisdom tooth removed? And if so what was your symptoms that led you to do it? I have pain when I touch my ear/jaw and sometimes a full/dizzy feeling with it x

polkadotpixie · 07/03/2021 18:59

@Skyliner001 I've had spotting with thrush before too. It can be really sore. I bet it's the Lush stuff that's kicked it off if that's new. I can't use any kind of bath or shower products at all except for Sanex 0% or I get thrush

@tmh88 I've had impacted wisdom teeth removed. My main symptoms were recurrent infections, pain and swelling of my gums

Thanks @polkadotpixie That helps to head. My vagina is definitely thrown off by something 😳

StooriMidori · 07/03/2021 19:07

It's so true @Skyliner001 If I could be as rational for myself as I was for others I'd be an oasis of calm! 😂

KasparKat · 07/03/2021 19:17

I get UTIs whenever I have a bath. Even if I don't put soap in it! Really sad as that was one thing that used to help me relax. But it's not worth it sadly. I wash my intimate area with Dermol 500 on the recommendation of a gynae consultant. Get a lot less itching, irritation etc. now.

Those Lush products have so much scent in them I wouldn't be surprised if it gave you some irritation.

I'm feeling marginally better this evening. Listened to some health anxiety hypnosis on YouTube where they get you to go through different parts of your body and say that its not a good feeling, its not a bad feeling, its just your stomach etc. So I have tried to apply that to the dizziness, saying its not a good feeling, its not a bad feeling, its just dizziness. I think the idea is that you just acknowledge the feeling neutrally and don't tie yourself in knots trying to figure out why you have the feeling, what it means, and concocting a huge story around it (eg I'm dizzy I must have a brain tumour and then I will die and my DC will be upset and it will ruin their lives etc. etc). I think I can imagine it would help if I could keep doing it every day. It's by a guy called "the anxiety guy" on YouTube.

Also the comments on the video were really encouraging as about 90% of them were saying they had dizziness/light-headed feeling from anxiety. Actually felt quite emotional reading about so many people going through the same thing.

Why is it I can feel so much compassion for other people who are going through the same thing as me but just feel really cross with myself and that I'm a failure as the CBT isn't helping?

KasparKat · 07/03/2021 19:19

I also have impacted wisdom teeth but the dentist said they only remove them on the NHS if you are getting an infection every month or so! Mine flare up now and again but then seem to settle down again.

tmh88 · 07/03/2021 20:18

I haven’t had an infection in mine now since december/January time I think! Can’t remember 😂 so I don’t know if they’ll remove it or not! I usually get pericorinitis when I do! @KasparKat I know what you mean about not being able to feel compassion for yourself x

ofwarren · 07/03/2021 22:21

@tmh88 you have the hard bump too?
I'm going to ring the dentist tomorrow too.
My neck feels so weird tonight. It's not my throat, it's my neck, inside but not where you swallow. It feels swollen, tight and just weird and sore.
I'm going to get another doctors appointment tomorrow too as I want them to check.

ofwarren · 07/03/2021 22:23

Forgot to say, I have hashimotos thyroid disease so I want them to check my bloods

tmh88 · 07/03/2021 22:54

@ofwarren I do yes, I think I have one at the other side but not as prominent so most likely normal, have you felt at your other side I have to push on quite hair to feel it, it’s not below my jaw it’s on the actual jaw line! Have you looked at tmj? It caused neck and shoulder pain x

tmh88 · 07/03/2021 23:01

Tmj symptoms @ofwarren x

@goolies hope you can find us now x

Goolies · 08/03/2021 09:26

awwwwww my people are here!! I couldn’t find part 4 and was panicking!! Thanks for the tag @MrsWhites I will have a read through that I’ve missed.

tmh88 · 08/03/2021 09:48

Glad you found us @Goolies how’ve you been?

Feel like someone has an appointment today but can’t remember! Good luck if so Flowers

ofwarren · 08/03/2021 10:32

@tmh88 Yeah, I've already been diagnosed with TMJ in the past so it could be a worsening of symptoms.
It hurts on both sides today, under the jaw. Like a burning sensation.

I've decided to be sensible and think "what would a normal person do" with my symptoms.
I'm not going to ask for an appointment, I'm just going to chase up my ENT appointment and as for them to check my routine thyroid levels.
No point in me booking a dentist appointment till I've had my extraction at the hospital either. I need a bite guard and they can't do a mold with the tooth still there.
I just hate waiting though 😔

StooriMidori · 08/03/2021 11:05

Morning everyone, I got good news at the breast clinic - all looks good. I saw the consultant first and she examined me and said there was an area she wanted to see further (that was when I shit myself). Within half an hour I had a mammogram and ultrasound and all was fine. The second Dr who reviewed the mammo and did the US said I have very dense breast tissue. She said the pain is likely because most of my breast tissue is in that one area. I asked if it was normal to have severe pain in one breast and not the other and she said yes, not uncommon. She said to remember that breasts 'are sisters, not twins' which is quite a helpful thing to remember I think as I know many if us focus on symmetry! The whole appt took 40 minutes, they talked me through every single thing and I felt so calm the whole time, which I still can't believe. I didn't cry either! I am totally in awe of our NHS and so grateful for the lovely women who examined me and put me so at ease. I don't know whether to laugh or cry I just feel so strange, two months of worrying and I'm ok. Fuck me, I need a gin!

tmh88 · 08/03/2021 11:46

@StooriMidori so happy for you Flowers the relief sensation is amazing isn’t it!

tmh88 · 08/03/2021 11:47

@ofwarren yes possibly! When’s your extraction?

MrsWhites · 08/03/2021 12:11

@StooriMidori glad it went well!

‘Sisters not twins’ should be our mantra on this group 🤣
