Hi ladies, back again for thread number 3!

Hi @justgivejackie - yes cancer would have shown up on the X-ray. Also, the X-ray would have been looked at by the radiographer, a doctor and the consultant radiographer - so you can be pretty certain that nothing was missed! Welcome to the thread! X

Skyliner001 · 20/02/2021 19:59

Thanks love @MrsWhites It's a better evening now 😊

justgivejackie · 20/02/2021 20:27

Thank you so much for your lovely messages. Just reading through the previous posts and I've found my people🥰

chorusline79 · 20/02/2021 20:30

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 20/02/2021 22:57

Welcome to the thread @justgivejackie we are all like-minded here and there's always one of us about 😊

Been helping my parents with lifting and shifting today so been very busy - coincidentally no pains! I really wish that we would all be able to stop our health anxieties, I feel they are so debilitating

tmh88 · 21/02/2021 08:20

Morning everyone, welcome to everyone new! How is everyone?

I’ve decided I’m going to lose the weight I need to lose.. which is a massive thing for me as the biggest thing putting me off was worrying that the aches and pains or weight loss I get from exercise, how would I know it was me or not some dreaded disease making me lose weight and ache! Blush

Also booked my wedding for next year which is another massive thing for me because I have been pushing it out of my mind these past few months through fear I wouldn’t be alive for it Blush

MrsWhites · 21/02/2021 08:57

@tmh88 wow, that’s amazing, they are both massive steps! I’m sure your wedding will be wonderful!

I understand where you are coming from with the weight loss concern, I need to lose some weight too but if I’m honest, I worry that it will change my boobs and I’ll freak out. I’d probably also convince myself that it’s due to some disease. Now that you’ve shared with us we’ll be able to remind you that any weight loss will be for the right reason! x

So annoyed with myself! One minute I’m enjoying a lie in, not thinking about my boobs at all...the next minute I’m checking them and freaking out! How does my mindset change so quickly? Does this happen to anyone else? Fine one minute and before you even realise you are checking something out?

@tmh88 great news on your wedding! That will be something lovely to look forward to and a focus with the planning too

@MrsWhites and @tmh88 totally identify with that. When I get on the scales I am always disappointed as I'm getting heavier and have put on almost a stone since last year but then I feel relieved as brain says well if you were terminally ill you'd be losing weight Confused

Goolies · 21/02/2021 09:52

@tmh88 great news re your wedding!! How exciting and good on you for fighting the thoughts! We need to move and I’ve been putting it off in fear of something happening!

@MrsWhites no idea what happens in the mind to literally go from fine and relaxed to hyperventilating over a possible lump! Within a split second! That’s me this morning!

Hope you’re all doing ok, sorry I’ve been quiet just trying to keep myself busy over the weekend as It’s often a trigger for me.

justgivejackie · 21/02/2021 10:23

Good morning everyone.

@tmh88 congratulations on booking the wedding - it will give you something to focus on.

@MrsWhites I was like that this morning - I woke up with pins and needles so then at 5.30am I was panicking and googling. I'm so tired now. The pins and needles have gone now and I'm hoping they don't come back

Skyliner001 · 21/02/2021 10:34

@tmh88 Congrats!! Great steps 😊

Skyliner001 · 21/02/2021 10:35

@justgivejackie Re: pins and needles. I've recently been through some stress with that. Couldn't sleep for a couple of nights and had p&n and restless legs. Also went into a google spiral. Haven't had them since so moved on to something else 😬😳

justgivejackie · 21/02/2021 10:39

@Skyliner001 thank you so much for that. Part of me knows it probably is my anxiety but then you know it's like, I get it some sort of spiral. Hope your having a good morning x

onlyreadingneverposting8 · 21/02/2021 10:50

@tmh88 congratulations on the wedding and wishing you success with the weight loss!

@MrsWhites hoping you continue the day without boob stress!

I'm relatively ok this morning trigger wise. But still have the ends of the migraine going on 😖 So feeling a bit off.

Hope everyone else is ok xx

chorusline79 · 21/02/2021 11:08

@justgivejackie I have also had pins and needles at night especially - making it hard to sleep as they were uncomfortable and stressful but they've stopped now. Hope yours go soon too.

MrsWhites · 21/02/2021 11:40

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I really need to let the boob stress go, this particular bit has been there for about 2 years! It’s tingling now but I’m trying to remind myself it’s my anxiety causing that!

@justgivejackie so awful when something wakes you up. Lack of sleep the next day just heightens the anxiety too!

@onlyreadingneverposting8 migraine is the worst! Hope it clears soon! x

OP posts:
Skyliner001 · 21/02/2021 12:56

@MrsWhites So with you on the boob stress! It's a nightmare, but very hard to let go X

MrsWhites · 21/02/2021 15:17

@Skyliner001 it really is, I don’t know why I focus on them so much, maybe it’s the media and so much focus on breast cancers. It does seem to be that and cervical cancers that worry me the most.

Hope you are having a good day x

OP posts:
justgivejackie · 21/02/2021 17:33

It's funny that my boobs isn't something that I check/poke, for me it's my heart and lungs and fast heart or feeling like I can't get a full breath sets me off x

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 21/02/2021 17:51

@tmh88 ah fab news on booking the wedding! That will give you lots of focus!

I'm spotting again (had my second depo about 4 weeks ago) so I'm assuming I would usually be on at this time. Not just because I'm spotting but because I feel like I'm going to scream of DH asks me one more question about how I make my lasagne! Hellooooo hormones!

@MrsWhites I'm with you on this boob thing. Today it wasn't my nipple, it was my actual boob. I was lying on my side and went to scratch and then thought 'oh...' and then my worries start again.

I've trained myself NOT to Google. Yes I'll sit and worry, but I find that Google just makes it a million times worse so I'm trying to just stay away from it all.

Weight loss would be a good distraction! I literally sat at home wfh last year and because I was pregnant I just ate what I wanted, but now I'm still doing that while on maternity 🙈

tmh88 · 21/02/2021 17:53

@MrsWhites @Skyliner001 @onlyreadingneverposting8 @Goolies @chorusline79 @justgivejackie thank you all! Spent most of today trying to decide what dress I can picture myself in which is nicer than have my lymph nodes grown!! So far so good on not fearing I’ll be dead before my wedding comes round Blush I did just eat a magnum though so the diet starts tomorrow!

I also can be fine one minute, and like a crazed person the next prodding and poking at myself! Nice to know I’m not alone in it but makes me feel sad others suffer too! I also agree that even though we all have different worry’s, some boobs, some lymph nodes, heart etc it’s nice that we can all rationalise for eachother and calm each other down! Xx

tmh88 · 21/02/2021 17:54

@dillydallydollydaydream7 thank you! It’s working so far! Grin

Google is the worst! Causes the majority of my problems to be honest!

justgivejackie · 21/02/2021 18:07

@tmh88 yes you lovely people calmed my down last night Thanks
