I'm in work and I don't want to go back to my desk.

I want to just walk out and never ever come back. I am crying as I write this.

Please someone tell me to pull myself together.

Wish I'd never stopped taking my ADs now

I've cried in work. DH has cried in work. You're not alone. Poor you. Can't say anything useful at this stage though. Sorry.

foxinsocks · 23/04/2007 11:57

can we distract you? would that be better?

Mhamai · 23/04/2007 12:00

Oh Boris Do go to the GP! What time are you finished work? Has it come on suddenly or been building up? Mhamai stop prattling, chicks, mail me if you want/can I'm in for the day, wish I could kidnap you and bring you for coffee and tears/hugs/rants etc.

emankcin · 23/04/2007 12:01

may i jump with you?

lulumama · 23/04/2007 12:01

hope you get to the docs today....

lots of people cry at work...

Boco · 23/04/2007 12:05

Oh no, sorry you're feeling so bad

Even if your work are strict on sickleave, you sound like you're not well, as you know, ads can take a couple of weeks to work, and it's important to give yourself a break and start feeling better again - if you need time off, your work will still be there when you can cope with it again. It's not worth stressing over it, your health is more important.

Hope the day gets better for you and you get back to the gps soon.

I cried 4 times at work the other day! I work in a call centre and no-one would put calls through to me because they were so worried that my face would start leaking again! I even got asked if I wanted to go home but thought that might not be the best idea, so I had deep breaths, and wierdly found pretending to be calm and in control type person worked. Tomorrow is another day.

israel · 23/04/2007 12:27

Only you will know when its too much.
Just remember....if you had an injury that was visible....it would be easy to show and say...look i need time to go home and sort this out.
Mental illness is the same...you will know...if its time to walk...and get it sorted.
It is so much harder to say what YOU need...when no one else can see it.
Do the right thing...dont bottle it up.....just go and get what you need....
If you have family...they need you well.
Only you CAN make that happen.

stoppinattwo · 23/04/2007 12:33

Get one of your friends (from out side work) to phone you in work, while your not at your desk, get thenm to tell one of your colleagues to take a message that there is an emergency at home, and you are needed urgently...........you come back to your desk and bingo, you have to go home.

Hugs WB...............know how you feel XXX

NormaStanleyfletcher · 23/04/2007 12:35

I have cried in work too. Unfortunately I was away at an office in London and couldn't get home. I went and sat in a park for an hour.

Go home honey

Wotzsaname · 23/04/2007 12:38

oh poor you, hope you are OK, come back, don't feel bad, we all have very shitty days, I have seen lots of crying in many places.

[hug]

WelshBoris · 23/04/2007 13:34

I told them I had been sick, they told me to stay and just take regular breaks and drink lots of water.

I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed, my boss ushered me quietly out of the office, don't think he knew what else to do with me.

I'm home now, cant get doctors appointment til next week, may ring for a repeat prescription of my ADs later.

Thanks everyone x

Wotzsaname · 23/04/2007 13:38

Glad you are home, but next week is a long time to wait.

Have you told them it is urgent, please get repeat prescription ASAP.

Carmenere · 23/04/2007 13:39

Look WB somedays we just can't cope. Bottomline is that the chances are that tommorow will be a bit better. Go easy on yourself today, try to relax a bit and just know that you are a great mum and great gf, good at your job and you a lovely friend. You deserve to be happy and you will be again soon.

Mhamai · 23/04/2007 13:42

Oh pet, have you anyone adult wise that can come and keep you company? N? Sweetheart, it will ease it will get better, main thing for you to realise is that your not alone with this though it probably feels that way, there is so much support here for you, take it!
