yes fishy one - a true illustration that childrens behaviour is a reflection of their environment. Loved the penultimate line 'she is, and will always be, the best and most honest friend you will ever have.'

cupcakes · 02/10/2006 13:02

That is a lovely article - just what you would hope your best friend would say to you.

and well done Tanya:
And log on to mumsnet.com for an excellent support network of mothers,

edam · 02/10/2006 13:11

Aw, that is heartwarming. My favourite childcare guru - never patronising or simplistic.

Hope the poor mother does come here, I know she'll get lots of help from you lot if she does.

MarsLady · 02/10/2006 13:15

She is truly wonderful isn't she? And look... she knows just which direction to point mothers in. Right here to MN.

schneebly · 02/10/2006 13:17

Actually this has made me cry.
Sort of has summed up a lot of the summer for me - about the child reflecting the emotional temperature in the house.
V good reply, not at all trumpet-blowing thou must do what I say on page 54 of my book or all will permanently go to pot.
