New thread for when the first one gets full - welcome everyone Smile

Sadmumma really sorry you are having a bad day. Tightness in your chest does not sound good - have you told the doctor?
The sertraline did not seem to help me sleep at all - I have sleeping pills and I am sure that are making all the difference; can you get some? I am tired after half a day even on a good night's sleep so can understand how exhausted you must be working as well.
I am hoping no news is good news from the others Smile

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 25/02/2015 20:38

Hi.

Well today has been a bad day, I had to go to the toilets in work and have a cry. I spent a good 20 minutes crying and was tempted to walk out and never go back.

I am on leave soon, so hopefully that will make a difference.

I did open up to a trusted work friend, told her about the OD and text me if anybody wanted me.

Sadmumma · 25/02/2015 21:32

Carbonel - what are your sleeping tabs called? I'm seeing the doc tomorrow so could ask from them if you were able to reply overnight. Do they make you feel like a zombie in the morning and all day? Or do they really give you a good night's sleep and you wake feeling refreshed? Cos that is what I need!

Piper - hello again. Sorry you had such a bad day. Working while feeling shite is the pits. Hope friend at work will look after you.

Carbonel · 25/02/2015 21:52

Zopiclone 3.75 mg I take 2 at 10.30 sleep 7 - 8 hours and wake feeling refreshed and ready to face the world. The crisis team prescribed them.
hope your doc can help. I am certain they have been my saviour as lying awake is so destructive as well as the tiredness the next day.

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 25/02/2015 23:31

I know this was a question directed to Carbonel but I take 7.5mg of zimovane

Sadmumma · 26/02/2015 00:38

Thank you both. I wen straight to sleep after last post but now awake and terrified that this is now it for tonight.

Sadmumma · 26/02/2015 00:39

Piper - does Zimovane make you dopey? Or do you get a good night's sleep? And feel refreshed next day? Thank you.

MyBeloved · 26/02/2015 09:02

Hey everyone. sorry I've been off radar. I've been finding things very difficult tbh and have finally relented and taken a few days off work.

did anyone else find their anxiety increased significantly in the first few weeks? I lay awake from 3am worrying about work and my marriage...how we will cope and whether my husband will get fed up with me. I also get fleeting very dark thoughts.

is this to be expected and does it get better?

MyBeloved · 26/02/2015 10:13

Am on sertraline 50mg

Verso · 26/02/2015 13:38

Too anxious/worried about side effects to start the tablets: I know! I know! I've been here before and I know I need to get over it and get started but I'm just being open about where I'm at. Ugh.

Can anyone advise if it's best to take them evening or morning? (I've been prescribed 25mg for a week then 50mg then 100mg.)

Sadmumma · 26/02/2015 15:30

Back again. In the end did sleep most of the night so am grateful for that. But not having a good day.

MyBeloved - I'm on day 11 and my anxiety seems just as bad. Am wondering when these pills will work without side effects.

Verso - I'm taking mine at night so that the light-headed feeling is when I am lying down.

Seeing doc tomorrow morning to review first two weeks.

Hope you are all doing okay.

Carbonel · 26/02/2015 16:49

Day 16 seemed to be the turning point for me to start feeling better. Anxiety was not an issue tho so did not get worse. General feelings were up and down before pills kicked in but not really worse as pretty much already at rock bottom. Verso please take them - at least see what the side effects are you can always stop if too bad. I take mine in the evening - always have so good to remember and also did get some lightheadedness when I took a couple during the day.
Sadmumma hope you get better soon and the docs app goes well.
altho feeling ok mood wise I still feel like a limp lettuce! 4 days of doing stuff, generally just in the morning, and today I have been energy less. Spent most of the day dozing / resting with only a small foray to the neighbour for some eggs.
hope that improves soon!

teawomen · 26/02/2015 17:31

I'm on day 24/25 I think. Turned a corner and feeling considerably better. First two weeks were horrendous I can vouch for that.

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 26/02/2015 23:00

Within 15-20 minutes I'm fast asleep.

I wake up feeling a bit groggy but I feel rested.

Sadmumma · 27/02/2015 11:56

Day 12. No sleep. Signed off work for first time in 3.5 years. Doc has given me Zopiclone 3.75. Zimovane is the same drug. He said to take my Sertraline in the morning. Spending the day in bed but still cannot sleep.

teawomen · 27/02/2015 12:31

Sadmumma. Sorry your feeling so bad. Sometimes having time off work can do the world of good. I remember when I started sertraline first time a couple of years ago thinkig Id never go back theme. And I did 8 weeks later. Hand holding here.

Sadmumma · 27/02/2015 13:07

Bless you Tea. That has made me feel better. Everyone on here has troubles so I appreciate your kindness and that of others. Am hoping that in one more week I shall feel better as will be three weeks in. I cannot afford to lose my job. Will have to go to work on Monday Sad

Carbonel · 27/02/2015 15:10

Sadmumma sorry you are feeling bad. Hang in there tho you are pretty much exactly where I was and I turned the corner around day 16 after a few nights of proper sleep thanks to the zopiclone. Not completely out of the woods yet as yesterday and today had zero energy but getting there. Be kind to yourself and don't beat yourself up about work. You have done brilliantly to work this far.

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 27/02/2015 22:22

Sadmumma I hope you feel better after some decent sleep.

I am feeling a lot better within myself, I have been baking a lot recently ( which the kids are loving)

Sadmumma · 28/02/2015 10:37

Morning all! Thank you for all your lovely support. It means a lot. The sleeping pill worked a miracle and I slept 9.30-4 and then dozed till 8. I feel a lot better for it. Don't feel drowsy - just the same surreal ness that the Sertraline gives me. Feel I might achieve things today. Have a busy week ahead of me to get thru.

How are you all doing?

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 02/03/2015 12:49

Just a friendly hello.

Got another gp appointment, wish they would prescribe more than 7 days worth, but I guess it's to keep an eye on me.

Carbonel · 02/03/2015 13:56

Hi all. Stabilising here and doing okay. Piper agree about the 7 days but at least the CT bring mine out to me at the moment Smile
Got 28 days sleeping pills from the GP on Friday tho!
Had a busy day yesterday and worried I would be exhausted again today like last week but been out shopping with dd this morning Smile
Sadmumma hope you are starting to feel better by now
Hope everyone else is coping.

Sadmumma · 02/03/2015 17:58

Hiya - good to hear from you both . Feeling marginally better - just exhausted. Carbonel - do you take sleeping tabs every night? I have taken for three nights but doc said not every night so am going to try to do without tonight

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 03/03/2015 21:54

Well I have to go back in a months time :)

Doctor also advised that I try and wean myself off the sleep tablets, hopefully I can without effecting my MH.

For the first time in for ages I laughed today.

All I need now is my foot to get better after tearing the ligaments. What else can go wrong lol.

Carbonel · 04/03/2015 01:55

Sadmumma I do not take them every day generally when I feel I need them.
Piper glad you are getting better.
Ups and downs for me. This cough is really getting me down and had temp of over 38 all day today which paracetamol / ibuprofen would not shift so feel completely washed out. Also saw a questionnaire dh did where he had ticked he felt life was meaningless, he feels down/blue and our relationship makes him unhappy - took me back a far way towards SH. Things seem pointless if he feels that way because of me Sad
