So attended a session today...we spent 15 minutes looking at a raisinHmm.

I feel really really uncomfortable with it. I do not want to share anythIng with the other group members, although they all seem happy with it. I don't want to lie down in front of complete strangers. I hated it. It seemed really really pretentious and up your own bum. Is this how it is meant to be?

There are retreats and retreats, Elfy, just like holidays! Guess your one was too full-on or bad timing for you. I went on a fantastic one- insightful, beautiful location, good tho challenging intro to meditation.. And, unexpectedly, fun!

Yeah. I'm on the fence with this one. I suggested it as a Birthday gift from DH, but faced with 2DDs for a couple of nights by himself, he's offering a more expensive gift option Grin

Maybe another year, when the forecast is better for camping.

I'm going to do my own Mindfulness and will be going to have a longer look at your link garlicgrump

The thought of a group session or retreat sounds like my idea of hell, but works brilliantly for others. Doing something alone sounds brilliant.

Problem with MH is that not wanting to do something can be seen as 'resistance' when actually, its just not the way you like to learn.
