And I'm scared. I feel like they're coming to get me. Can hear mumble voices like people talking on a radio. It's like they're walking round my house. I'm sure they can't be real because people keep telling me that they're not So why do I keep hearing them?

AW!!!! Thank you MM! Blush
I like 'chatting' to people!
How lovely of you to take the time to message ME, when you are having a hell of a time!xxx

Venlafaxine makes me ill, I feel worse on them than off - mentally and physically. I don't get the auditory hallucinations but know people who have. They give me awful panic attacks and air hunger (uncontrollable yawning that gets very painful)

Aerobreaking · 22/02/2011 01:27

Im here. I know you don't know me but I wanted you to know I am here. Is the CPN on his/her way?

MogadoredMemoo · 22/02/2011 12:26

Thanks everyone for lady night. Cpn came out and then I saw a doctor this morning. They have increased my propranolol and given me some diazepam too.

The doctor thought I was having a reaction to the meds but also having a panic attack. Panic attacks are new to me, so something else to get my head around. Really thought I was going to die last night.

Feel a lot calmer today. Thanks to all of you for last night, it really really helped having you to talk to. Dh is great but don't think anyone ever truly gets it unless they've been there.

Oh, Memoo! I'm glad you are calmer and got some help. Panic attacks are dire.

blinks · 22/02/2011 14:26

hi memoo and expat... glad our wee love-in last night helped. panic attacks suck big time but you can overcome them once you know how.

make sure you get regular appts to keep an eye on those meds.

missjulie · 22/02/2011 15:35

Glad you are feeling a little better today hun, been thinking bout you. x

MogadoredMemoo · 22/02/2011 18:31

My CPN called round this afternoon to check on me and has managed to get me an appointment of Friday with the consultant to review my meds as clearly their not really working atm.

The Diazepam is great though. Its the first time in weeks I've not had that horrible churning knot in my stomach.

Good news, too, about seeing the consultant.

It's a delicate balancing act.

Stac2011 · 22/02/2011 22:04

been lurking since i posted last night. MM I am so glad you got seen and your back at the consultant quickly. I have depression and anxiety, panic attacks are horrible. Would also just like to say its lovely to see the others rallying round. MN's full of lovely people

MogadoredMemoo · 23/02/2011 00:14

Its true Expat. Hoping he'll take me off propranolol because I'm finding it useless.

Hi stac, it's true there are some wonderful people on here. There have been times when I wouldn't have got through the day without them.

Stac2011 · 23/02/2011 01:25

i didnt find the propanolol helpful for panic attacks, much preferred the diazepam. How you feeling now?

Expat have the new neighbours moved in? Hope your feeling better too

kizzie · 23/02/2011 10:51
