I am on day two.

Inspired by the accountability thread I am.going to document my progress.

I am eating the same meals today and yesterday

Roasted vegetables and tuna for lunch with chilli oil. I find the spice fills me up.

Supper is an omelette with roasted vegetables

100 calories of fruit berries or apple each day

Lots of water.

Lots of black coffee in the morning

I am feeling a bit weak.today

Trousers feel looser.

Tiredness and dieting are a poor combo @LittleSF, hope you're doing ok.

@Crazycrazylady well done on the weight loss! It's great motivation isn't it? I'm still feeling very hungry, hoe that will normalise soon.

@Ruralbliss enjoy your evening off plan - I'm pushing the boat out with a glass of wine tonight to go with the chicken wrapped in parma ham I'm having for dinner.

I haven't found a duff recipe yet, they're all delicious and satisfying. Just the bits where I'm not eating where I seem to struggle Grin

LittleSF · 27/08/2021 20:32

OMG, just hat the pancetta and pumpkin soup and it is amazing. Definitely recommend that. Am definitely not feeling hungry after that. And lots more for lunch tomorrow. Recipes are so good!

Am practically a mermaid I’ve had so much water. First Friday night in forever not having a drink and am feeling fine. Have coffee with a friend tomorrow. Husband is going out for tomorrow night so will be home alone.

Early night beckons. Best of luck over the weekend everyone.

glomerulus · 30/08/2021 07:56

Will add the pancetta dna pumpkin soup to the list! Still working my way through the recipe book and enjoying them all.

Week 1 complete here and 3.1kg/nearly 7lbs down. I'm pretty happy with that, although I think the mid-week weigh in got my hopes up a bit too much! Also reached my first milestone, which is lowest weight since having DC.

From what I've read the second week isn't quite as rapid, and AF is due this weekend so I'm not expecting miracles but I'm really happy with how this week has gone and the cravings/hunger have subsided so ready to take it on.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend!

LittleSF · 30/08/2021 09:05

@glomerulus well done, 7lbs down is amazing. I was 8lbs down this morning and am delighted. Have an inch and a half off my waist too and in the space of a week I know my face is far less bloated then it was (have holiday photos to prove it!). Off to collect supermarket order with all the goodies - although spinach smoothie is on my meal plan for breakfast this morning so not sure how well that will go down…

Best of luck for week 2 everyone

glomerulus · 30/08/2021 17:45

Congratulations @LittleSF that's a great result! It's great that you're noticing the difference in appearance too. I've noticed my breath is a bit different at certain times, so not sure if ketosis is kicking in a bit.

Let me know how the smoothie goes! I haven't tried any of them yet, but tried the caeser-ish salad today which was amazing, particularly the dressing. The fact that the recipes are so good has really helped when I'm tempted to snack on something else, as I know it's unlikely to taste as good as what's on the plan.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

LittleSF · 30/08/2021 18:01

Oh the smoothie was horrid! Just not for me. Switched it for an omelette but really wished I’d just had some yogurt and berries, dying for something sweet. One of the few things on the plan I didn’t love.

My son loved the sauce that went with the mozzarella chicken so much he’s asked for it for dinner tonight, just with some pasta. Have made a batch and will freeze it, i blended it and he’s wolfing it down.

glomerulus · 30/08/2021 20:49

Oh dear I'll steer clear of that one then! I've had the yoghurt with berry compote which is worth trying - like a posh muller fruit corner...

The only "meh" recipe I've had is the beetroot, lentil and feta salad online - not as much flavour as most and probably personal preference in that I'm not a huge fan of the lentil texture.

I might have to try the mozzarella chicken as it seems super popular and good if its a hit with the whole family! Looks similar to the parma-wrapped chicken which I can also vouch for.

LittleSF · 03/09/2021 11:53

Just a quick check in - as if this morning I am 12lbs down! Feel amazing, not hungry at all. Even weirder, no desire for glass of vino.

Wonder if I'll shed the final 2lbs by Monday to make it a stone in 2 weeks. I'll also be back in the healthy BMI range which will be fantastic.

glomerulus · 03/09/2021 18:17

That's incredible @LittleSF well done Star! You must be thrilled with that, and to be close to the healthy bmi range too. And you going to keep going after that or are you going to move onto 5:2?

Still going well here and also feeling much better and more energised. Skipped the mid week weigh in as didn't want to be disheartened by period bloat, so will see where I am on Monday. Small victories - can now fit into some new clothes I bought a few weeks back "for when I shift some weight" and they fit AND look good!

Hope everyone else is doing well.

glomerulus · 03/09/2021 18:18

*Are not And...

glomerulus · 06/09/2021 08:10

Start of week 3 today and I'm 4.7kg (just over 10lbs) down from my start weight, which I'll take, especially as it's period week. Biggest victory this week is how much better my clothes are hanging.

Hoping to hit my next milestone this week (sub-70kg), which should be do-able. Also hoping to up the exercise a bit, although free time is the biggest risk there!

Alittlenonsensenowandthen · 09/09/2021 13:16

Day 4 and I'm struggling today. Feel sooo hungry and dizzy. Tell me it's worth it?!

Chunkymonkey123 · 09/09/2021 18:27

Day 4 today here and I’m doing ok.

It’s worth it @Alittlenonsensenowandthen! Most effective diet I’ve done. However last time I went up to 1000 calories on some days if I was feeling miserable, just keep it low carb ish.

Chunkymonkey123 · 09/09/2021 18:28

@glomerulus 10 pounds is great, well done!

glomerulus · 09/09/2021 18:30

Well done for getting to day 4 and yes, I promise it gets easier! Middle of week 3 now and while I still get hunger pangs it's much more normal and have much more energy.

Have you done a weigh in yet? In the first week the rapid change can help with motivation if you're struggling.

Lots of water and a small snack (e.g. nuts or cheese) can help too.

glomerulus · 09/09/2021 18:32

Thanks @Chunkymonkey123! I'm chuffed to have made it this far and looking forward to next weigh in on Monday.

Well done for getting to day 4 and hope the early days fog isn't biting too hard x

Babyroobs · 09/09/2021 20:37

Hi all. I have just started this today. I have a lot of weight to lose. Hoping this thread will keep me motivated. I am not going to weight myself until I can feel some difference as I literally have about ten stone to lose.

glomerulus · 09/09/2021 21:31

Welcome @Babyroobs and good luck! I know I'm not the only one who's found this diet a game-changer. I lost 10lbs in two weeks just following the recipe book, and all the food is delicious. Watch out for hunger/dehydration in the early days and by the end of the first week it should be plain sailing x

Backtoblack1 · 09/09/2021 21:42

I’d like to join. I find 800 hare but 1000 not too bad

Alittlenonsensenowandthen · 09/09/2021 22:44

Thanks for encouragement. Hoping I'll find my groove next week!

glomerulus · 10/09/2021 17:16

Welcome @Backtoblack1 and best of luck starting out. Everyone approaches it differently and I'm sure you'll still do great on 1000 cals. I don't calorie count although I know it helps others, I've just been using the recipe book. Sometimes I'm over 800 cals and sometimes I'm under but it's all working in the long run.

@Alittlenonsensenowandthen hope day 5 is going better for you - the worst should be behind you very soon!

Backtoblack1 · 10/09/2021 17:38

Which recipe book are you using? I’ve been awful the last few days and have a month to lose weight for a wedding 🙈

glomerulus · 10/09/2021 18:38

The Fast 800 recipe book by Dr Clare Bailey and Justine Pattison - it's available on amazon but not sure where else. There's also a few free recipes to help you get started on the fast 800 website. They're properly delicious but don't skimp on the green veg sides to help you feel fuller, especially when starting out.

I also gave myself a month target for a wedding - still a week and a bit to go but I'm really happy with the noticeable loss and how much nicer clothes sit on me now. Good luck!

Backtoblack1 · 10/09/2021 18:47

That’s fab. How much have you lost if you don’t mind me asking xx

glomerulus · 10/09/2021 18:51

Just over 10lbs in 2 weeks - my 3-week weigh in is on Monday. Loss does tail off a bit after the first 2 weeks I think but I would be thrilled if I could lose a full stone within 4 weeks.
