oblomov Looks really nice. Did you make the curry yourself?

bear I think that's the thing for me. I've lost the same 2 stone quite easily a couple of times now, but also ended up putting it back on again! It always takes a couple of years to go back on, but still... I'm 42 now and I want to lose it for the last time!

I made the pepper with jewelled feta for lunch and it was really nice. Bit heavy on the mint, but nice and my daughter liked it too, which is always a bonus.

Same story here too, I've been yoyoing for 7 years now and ranging between a size 8-22 over that time.

I want to say this is the final time BUT I doubt it will be as I go through bursts of being 100% good then 100% awful, hence why I'm back again for round 2.

But on the plus side in the last few days I've fallen in love with this diet all over again and I'm viewing it as a damage limitation that if I do go off track / holiday / Xmas I can get back in the waggon and loose a decent amount quickly,

Currently R2 D4 and - 5.8lbs I am amazed. Last time I got 7lbs off in a week and wasn't expecting a loss like that this time round but at this rate I will.

Hello everyone! I'm being very strict on round 2, day 1 so far but dreaming of burnt cheese and ham toastie. Confused

Report
HerRoyalFattyness · 04/09/2017 18:17

straight back on it today. I've been doing really well again.
Not eaten today. Drinking plenty of water, although I've left my water bottle at work and I'm on the bus feeling very thirsty.
Tea is chicken wrapped in bacon, with a bit of cheese with some veggies.

Second day, followed strictly and not feeling any ill effects...

I'm just hoping I don't lose momentum, or experience a carb craving by Thursday.

Good day today, but oh boy I'm hungry now. I sat in mcD's with the dc while they had their promised last day of the holidays treat, and slurped a Sprite Zero. Ate 1 nugget, and possibly 2 fries. Felt very virtuous but now I am starving.

The first few days are the hardest so I'll need some distraction techniques tomorrow!

Could it be the Sprite Zero that is causing the hunger now?

I don't know how you can have a nugget and a couple of fries. I'm ok if I avoid completely, but once I get the scent of blood... Grin

I did wonder if it was the sweetener In the sprite, but then I do have sweetener in coffee still (I know, very bad!).

To be honest, the nugget wasn't too bad anyway- 40 cals and 0.4 carbs. The fries were for the purpose of temperature control as littlest ds once burned himself on a stolen fry and now demands a thorough temp check be carried out before commencing. The aftermath of a toddler and a 5 year old's happy meal is not pretty so I wasn't tempted further. If it had been my own meal however.....!

Checking in at 796 calories but not enough water AGAIN!

I just can't always face the 3 litres of water. I've only managed half that so far plus a couple of coffees.

Was interested in whoever said about being very careful with fruit. I've been having an apple at work at about 4.30 as I still have 3 hours to dinner then and I'm usually starving with a commute to face.

My lovely very fit, macrobiotic diet etc colleague made me a coffee with a big splash (but not a latte etc, just a big splash) of full fat milk and suggested that might be better.

Do you know... I made it through without the apple!

I'm back on strict September after my little treats became bigger treats. Haven't dared weigh myself - will do that tomorrow.

Salad and grilled chicken for lunch, ratatouille and a sprinkling of parmesan for dinner.

I'm doing ok - have ended on about 895 today because I slightly misjudged supper, but I'm not agonising about it!

But, I AM DESPERATE FOR A GLASS OF COLD WHITE WINE!! I won't have one, I just really want one...

I've lost a pound or so in the last week - back into the 15s which is nice - and satisfying. I'm much better when I'm at work as I take what I'm going to have and when it's gone that's it, I don't use the work canteen or machines, I don't have the habit, and usually can't be arsed to go down two floors for the sake of something I'll regret.

Spaghetti an apple has over 20g carbs which is a bit of a disaster if you're trying to keep under 50g!

APlaceOnTheCouch · 04/09/2017 21:26

I had chicken gratin for lunch then sesame tuna with konjac noddle stir fry for dinner. Square of dark chocolate. 744 cals. 32g carbs.

Oh pink you sound SO like me!

I've been absolutely loving this plan, I so want to believe that this is it, the one, that's going to cure this loop of a life I'm living going up and down, being super on and super off. Even reading the M quiz in the book I was like, hmm which me will I answer as? Bingey me or on plan to the letter me?

So far so good anyway, I need more variety though or I run the risk of getting fed up. I've been very predictable!

So what are you guys using for oil, butter or whatever for cooking? And how much? This is my main difficulty at the moment I think.

Report
JigglyTuff · 05/09/2017 02:49

I use butter/ olive oil in tiny amounts or that spray stuff (fry light) if I'd rather use the calories elsewhere. Basically it's a choice between either calories in meat or calories in fat!

I've just realised I have eaten normal bread, rice or pasta since June Shock

Tobee I use an olive oil spray, it's not frylight its real olive oil in a spray bottle. It came from sainsbury's i think? It's one thing I'm rubbish at tracking actually. If I have something that actually needs flavour I use a tiny bit of butter. It feels like a waste of calories doesn't it? I prefer to use a really nice non stick pan to be honest, most things can be dry fried. Although someone who shall remain nameless keeps using metal utensils on my Teflon

I feel tired and achey this morning. Dd starts high school today, so I also feel very old! Little step on the scales reveals a 3.4lb loss since Friday which I'm very happy with so far, and puts me on track to get under 12 st by the end of week 1!

Today I'm going to make and portion out some pea and ham soup for lunches- did it yesterday with ratatouille so I now have 3 frozen portions that are 110 cals each. I'm hoping to build up a bit of a selection so I refrain from grazing at lunch, which is a big stumbling block for me!

Feeling very pleased this morning. After one day back on plan I have lost the 2lb I gained from being off plan on Sunday. Grin

Report
yumyumpoppycat · 05/09/2017 07:38

I have been using olive oil and butter and counting the cals which worked ok but I wouldn't be surprised if I was deliberately underestimating the cals {ahem} I haven't brought myself to cut milk but that would be one way I could save a lot of probably wasted cals.

Well done Royal, Bear and Jiggly on the SVs and NSVs

I'm not sure if people are going to hate me or be thrilled but, after a month of eating low carb but not calorie counting at all, I've lost 3 1/2 pounds since I last weighed (mid August) Shock

Blimey!
