How to gently tell my cousin she is too flirty?

Hi everyone. My older cousin who is roughly around 45 and never married can be a bit over the top at times. She is big and beautiful and her choice of clothing is a large multi coloured skirt and a leather handbag. However, she is often making remarks and gestures which seem harmless but come across as weird to other people which includes myself. For example, we were picking up my son from Primary school one time and I was having a chat with his teacher and she perked up and said, “Ooh you’re a lovely handsome young man aren’t you will tickling his chin”. As I said a bit over the top. Any advice on letting her down gently?

Yes tickling someone under the chin is terrible flirting. She's not very good at it.

I’d be really surprised if the teacher experienced being tickled under the chin by an apparently topless (but handbag-carrying) woman in a bright skirt as ‘flirty’.

He’s probably talking to the school board about circulating guidelines for behaviour at pick-up.

if she tickled the teacher under the chin, that is for the teacher to deal with.

You don't like your cousin, so stop being friends with her. It isn't up to you to try and change anything about anyone

Maybe there are things about you she thinks you should change. How would you feel if she "gently" told you to stop being yourself because she finds it weird?

I'm intrigued. Aren't 45 year olds allowed to wear multicoloured skirts? Are they only allowed to carry plastic carrier bags?

I'm concerned as at 55 I'm about go out in a multi coloured dress with my leather handbag. Have I unwittingly been committing a serious social faux pas?

I don't tickle anyone under the chin though so maybe all it ok.

Far far away someone IS weeping!!! It’s me with laughter. What on earth did the teacher say to the technicoloured handbag wearing bare breasted large lady with audacious flirting technique.

God pick up would have been fabulous with this woman there. I got an author who saved money by never using heating or electricity while her husband was at work/children at school, for years.
