The Speedo ones don't come with bag, the Arena ones do

I've found some little funky trunks bags that look like they will do the job. I just know if they are not protected in some way they will end up getting torn or more likely covered in chocolate in the bottom of his bag.

Bit late but rUK swimmers can swim at SNAGS but QTs for Non Scots are faster. Seem to remember that they aren’t eligible for medals or event records either (their results were always shown with an asterisk).

We (as a Scottish club) used to go to the Welsh Nationals, but I think this was before the summer meets became a thing.

Oh, and Non Scots meeting their times will be guaranteed acceptance to the event, except for 800/1500 where the Non Scot time is treated as a consideration time. The Non Scots times are way faster than the Scottish QTs - around 30 seconds faster for 800 and 1 minute faster for 1500.

Thanks for the info @WarningToTheCurious DS would definitely qualify for a few events as a Scot (if he was one) but not as a Non Scot.

Had a quick nosey at the results- DS would have won his age group 1500m and poss the 400m. Way too far to go though!!

Just home from out first SNAGs experience. So proud of my daughter. She made her first final and a pb. Other races but this was a real highlight.

Yay @littleroad - getting to a final at your first SNAGS is a real achievement!

One year we had to decamp to a different country for SNAGS. Tollcross was being upgraded for the Commonwealth Games and the Commie wouldn’t release the pool time; the only other 50m pools were the Stirling training pool and the Dollan Baths - which is like swimming in treacle. We all had to trek down to Sunderland.

Thank you. I am so proud of her. She knew she had a final chance but it’s never guaranteed is it? We will back for the summer meet and she’s determined to get another PB and improve the results she was a bit disappointed with. For me it was all great!

@Hellocatshome Fabulous pool, just a long way from home.

We were staying inland on a farm and there was a huge dump of snow overnight, the farmer had to plough the way out to the main road so we could get across to the pool. Was a bit hairy!

Youngest DS had the best day ever at Diggerland whilst his big brother was swimming that week.

@WidowTwonky oh no, I’m guessing it won’t be by much either as I know it can go on really tight margins. Hope he can get a good swim at regionals to get him back on. It’s a harsh process, though however it’s done there seem to be issues - i read somewhere that one of the regions had got their times wrong and rejected loads of swimmers after they had bought the hoodies etc - north west I think

DS has dropped another 2 events to English now but he was expecting that.

getting really sick of the politics and utter lack of support. Dc is thinking of jacking it all in because they are making it very clear who they like and who they don’t.
