DS has competed in his first open water event of the season, got a huge PB and was 3rd junior, was still 3rd if you add in the adults so he's buzzing with his little self. I need a lie down and DH needs to admit its finally time to start putting suncream on his bald spot!

Hopefully that'll do his confidence some good. Sometimes they just need to see that all the training trains off for the event they are good at. Think it's harder for the OW swimmers because they have a whole season of winter where they don't get to race their strengths.

So that's it then - qualifying window closed.

Just this weekends 3 events to be added and then it's crunch time.

Yeah I typed this and then went to work.

Checked at lunch and noticed our times and Plymouth times already submitted and just waiting for wales!

I did some stalking on the results by event page and found the two Welsh ones!!!

So far yes. The web page has said that all known results are now in and they are waiting for any overseas results or errors before publishing but it is looking positive!

The Portsmouth one has vanished from the results as have times that were achieved

That sounds odd, just looked and the front page message says all the results are entered still, but the actual list now has today’s date on. I’d have assumed licensing requirements etc were all checked before the results were added yesterday

Yes, that's what I saw too. Went back to normal rankings and the old times were back again. I'd have thought it would have been checked very carefully before being submitted considering the importance of the meet.

I’d have assumed the same as you, that Swim England would have been particularly careful in checking before adding the results. Seems odd too they have updated the list but not the message on the front page saying it includes all known meets if it now doesn’t

It's only one event that affects him and we have a copy of the one from yesterday so we know where he stands. Hopefully all will be cleared up for the swimmers concerned
