Hopefully this will work as we’re at 999 on the other!

I've only found them in a size 22 - I know they're meant to be tight but perhaps not at castration levels!
We have Speedo here though - I know they fit differently.

@Glittertwins yes I can find many pairs of all sorts of Arena jammers in a boys 22, probably because most people with kids that small rightly dont bother with the competition jammers. Its strange because I'm sure they didn't seem to be this rare. Even Speedo seem to have very little choice in the larger boys sizes.

Porseb · 07/11/2022 19:13

There's a 28 here in grey / orange (but maybe not the colour you want)

Glittertwins · 07/11/2022 19:16

The grey is nice, we have the girls cossie in that

Men's 28 is bigger than a boys 28 though. I know from experience as a friend's dad though they were the same. Mens are a lot bigger even though the number is the same

Oh sorry - I hadn't realised it was the boys' version

Hellocatshome · 07/11/2022 19:39

@Porseb thank you for looking and dont worry the boys/mens jammer confusion is real and makes nonsense whatsoever.

Swim stop has boys 28" in these and probably others of you search through.

In the sale too!

The blue glass is nice as is the green / yellow version.

Ah thank you so much @itsgettingweird I've never heard of this shop before! Better get the credit card out 🙈

itsgettingweird · 07/11/2022 20:30

They are our local swim shop.

Dreikanter · 08/11/2022 04:16

They've being going a long time - I think I bought DS’s first pair of jammers from them in 2008!

Glittertwins · 08/11/2022 08:11

Another one to bookmark, thanks!

It's always nice to find a new swimshop. Oh the happy days of VAT Free kids costumes.

My pet grievance is how expensive or hardly ever on sale plain black ladies tech suits are.

A lot of teenage girls are worried about period and leaks and opt for plain black as less obvious if a leak happens.

The black suits are mostly full priced or priced higher than coloured suits (in my research anyway)

Sadly probably for exactly this reason. Which is wrong. Especially now there's a big push to recognise periods and elite sport.

A lot of our girls opt to period swimwear underneath but that doesn't really work under a skins tech suit - especially the very tech ones without affecting its purpose or being extremely obvious.

I know a lot of our girls have opted for the two piece for this reason. So black shorts and a coloured costume top half.

Madcats · 08/11/2022 18:02

I'll have to put my hand up and admit I've bought two size 24 black racesuits this year (primarily because DD refuses to wear pink/bright colours racing and we needed replacements in a hurry).

I was toying with 2 piece, but assumed that it was just another thing for her pointy fingers to rip!

Glittertwins · 08/11/2022 18:07

I've just bought a black arena race suit which was in a sale but it is the entry level, not the super duper pro carbon one

Porseb · 08/11/2022 21:24

DD wears a 24 too - now I know who's buying them up Wink

Ace...I may have nipped in a bought for DS 😊

Hellocatshome · 10/11/2022 19:15

Has anyones swimmer had twin block braces? How did they cope with swimming? Did they take them out to swim?

Glittertwins · 11/11/2022 06:41

Not quite sure what is meant by that term but if they are the sort of braces that are fixed to a plastic moulding that sits on the roof of the mouth (and are taken out for eating, I always took them out for swimming and running. It felt to me as there was a restriction in my mouth and I couldn't breathe properly. No issue with Invisalign though

OP posts:
Hellocatshome · 11/11/2022 07:56

Yes thats the ones @Glittertwins DS has his orthodontist appointment today and I think this is the route they will go as they did with DS1. I'm just wondering how effective they will be if he removes them for 2 to 3 hours a day plus when he is eating.

Glittertwins · 11/11/2022 08:01

I guess it's a case of seeing how he goes with them. I just could not run or swim with them in. Anything else where I wasn't putting the effort in was ok.
