Ok so as per my title…

im eating a calorie deficit diet so that part is covered. I have 2 questions

firstly I’ve started walking this week and have done it every day mon to Fri and woke up today my legs are aching. Obviously normal as my legs aren’t used to this level of exercise but roughly when should I expect that to stop?

secondly we have a trampoline at home in the garden so it was recommended by a friend that I do 100 jumps on it. But I can only manage batches of 20 at the mo before I need to take a break. Is that gonna help if I’m only doing batches of 20? I am doing my 100 a day just in breaks

Does anyone eat these, pic attached, if that ok as a lunch or unhealthy?

What are the macros? Calories, protein?

TinyHousemouse · 21/04/2026 13:41

It’ll be said a million times OP but you can’t choose where the weight comes off (and I wish you could, as literally the only place I put on weight is my stomach) you can reduce bloating etc but you can’t spot reduce the fat 😭

Or you can look on the package?!
You need to pay attention to these things if you're trying to lose weight!

Bloody hell 😂

As the PP said you need to educate yourself and put some effort in if you want to change your body composition.

FWIW I don't think pastry based cheese rolls would be the most advisable addition to a calorie deficit diet. Depending on their nutritional content they could be factored in if you really like them, but this is why it's important to check the actual details rather than vague banding of healthy/non healthy.

That's a lot of fat and not a great deal of protein. I wouldn't eat them if I were eating for health/fitness.

Honestly, the best thing you could do for your health is to bypass the pre-packaged food and eat whole foods. If you're short on time/money, frozen veg is fine, frozen meat and fish is usally fine, just read the ingredients for hidden extras.

I typically aim for 30g protein per meal, less than 5g fat per meal unless it's a "good" fat i.e olive oil/oily fish/avocado.

Work out your macros using an app or online calculator. Divide fat/protien/carbs/cals by x meals and snack per day, and that's what you should be aiming for per meal/snack.

I lost a stone giving up cakes and biscuits for about 10 weeks. That stone came off my boobs. I could cry.

My friend said the same- face and boobs!

I wish I could lose weight from my boobs. They stay the same size no matter what. If I'm overweight, I look relatively in proportion. If I'm a healthy weight, I am 90% boobs and look indecent in 90% of my clothes.

RoseField1 · 21/04/2026 14:41

How many did you eat?
They are 177 calories and 5g protein per 2 rolls so not a great snack, the whole pack is 531 and 15g protein so not great for a whole meal either.

If you're in a pinch and need to buy pre-packed food, salad boxes are usually your best bet, especially if they come with the dressing in a separate sachet, so you can add less/none.

Look for a healthy protein-based salad, e.g., chicken, tuna, prawn, cottage cheese, and eat the pasta salads sparingly.

You can’t decide where the fat loss will come from. Your body will the order of weight loss for itself. The sore legs will calm down when your body gets used to it.

helpmelosemybigbelly · 21/04/2026 15:00

I ate just one packet

Not ideal. Look for unprocessed wholefoods.

dizzydizzydizzy · 21/04/2026 16:24

Resistance training aka strength training is what you need, so weights, resistance bands or body weight exercises such as squats, planks.

Make sure you are having plenty of plenty of protein and good sleep.

Overtheatlantic · 21/04/2026 16:44

Try a banana and a couple slices of cheddar cheese instead of those higgeldy things. It’s so hard because there are hidden calories in everything. 😕
