Day 50 done- she was kind today.
I have some I could catch up on but I didn’t actually miss a session as I subbed the ones I didn’t do. I have done 43/50 of the actuall sessions- those left o er are pretty well full body and glute days.

@whatwoulddexterdo I am so sorry. We just don't have dogs for long enough. Your goldie was clearly loved, adored and had the best possible life with you, his family- you have to try to take comfort in that. ❤️

As my Dan Johns 10,000 swing kettlebell challenge is ending this weekend (loved it), I have decided to do an "anti-osteopororis" day every week for the next two months, with 1-2 heavier lifts (with proper 3min+ rests) and some plyometrics. I did barbell RDL today, having been practising semi-seriously for a couple of weeks. I lifted 55, 60, 65, 70 x 8 then 75kg x 5 reps- finally exceeding my bodyweight again. It was deeply satisfying. Also did some farmer's carries when my grip had recovered, and a favourite old 30min plyo workout (not Caroline).!

Back to cgx this week. I am going to do a heavier upper and heavier lower from Intent or Iron Pro on Monday and Tuesday (any recs?), and hopefully a third more metabolic full body one. I really loved Unleash Day 24 with allll the makers last week so might do that again!

I finished play yesterday and enjoyed the final. I’m glad there was rest between each complex and it was fun to see her dogs , I love the final of every series/programme for this
For those who’ve also finished what your plan now?
I have done 60 mins of kettlebells today and am thinking I might do the new Heather Robertson which is on her new app but she’s also put it on you tube, looks like a mix of cardio and strength work

@Gobacktotheworld2I did Unleash Day24 this morning and it was indeed a great cardio workout! I did the first sets of squats as high squats with 2 x 15kg instead of a 30kg low squat so that Madely heart race even more. It’s been so long since I’ve done makers and a couple of years ago I was only at5kg but now 10kg so was really pleased to have progressed! Unleash is one of my favourite programmes.

10kg x 2 for makers is a milestone! Isn't it a great one, exhilarating? I am definitely repeating it next Friday.

@samthebordercollie that is a great weight for makers. Years and years ago I badly damaged a part of an arm doing makers and have been terrified of them ever since!

Run and yoga for me this morning, before it started belting it down with rain. The yoga felt good. I might repeat the run and yoga tomorrow morning, it's a good stress reliever while we wait to hear if we got the house.

Well done on the heavy lifting! I might get myself a barbell if we move and tentatively re-enter that world. Although I need to make sure I don't give myself another fissure. I'm definitely getting a bench, though. It's very hard to do a lot of the upper body stuff without one I find.

Did 4x straight sets for the upper body (an hour) from the cgx app early this morning. Made one change: instead of a double back row with two dumbbells (which feels pretty dodgy for the back), I did alternating heavy deadstop gorilla rows as it is easier to brace properly. But it's a good, comprehensive workout and includes specific arms.

@Fibrous good on you getting back to yoga! I was thinking of redoing Charlie's 30 Day Improvers' Challenge from mid-2024. Loved it at the time!

Are that gruesome twosome back as predicted, then? I avoid FB entirely at the end of programmes due to the numbers of desperados plastering the page with their middle-aged bodies in their undies.

I saw Mr Psychobabblez bitchplopped some typically attention-seeking victim post on Caroline's Play finale comments. Nothing about the workout itself, of course. Seems the sort to propose at someone else's wedding, doesn't he?

@MsMoody that is interesting- in what way has your progress improved doing 4 days a week instead of 5?

I've noticed huge strength gains, especially in my shoulders and they've really grown too. And the fat just seems to be falling off me- I've been doing more steps and I think it's because I have more energy by dropping from 5 days to 4.

It’s bollocks, isn’t it? You don’t lose weight by lifting weights you lose weights BY BEING IN A CALORIE DEFICIT.
It’s sad Caroline has gone down this before and after route. As for the Kearneys, getting yourself banned from the CG FB community is a sure fire way of avoiding them 😂 and Mathew Almond who is no doubt giving a blow by blow account of how much he enjoyed the Barcelona Marathon!!!!!!!!

On reading your post @sam these words jumped out at me-Kearneys,Matthew and blow by blow and well! It conjured up an awful image(but one i reckon is quite apt)
Anywayyyy I am behind but slogging through the play series still(I can't not do all of a programme,well unless it's a workout of nothing but Bulgarians or press ups,those I would skip)
I am finding the quad workouts quite tough and had pretty bad doms from a couple (currently hobbling about after doing "more to give quads"two days ago)

Am I imagining it or did someone either post or post a link to a document summarising all the CGX programmes - duration of workouts, weekly breakdown of workouts etc? I think I need to redo a programme but can't for the life of me remember which ones are which other than Iron and Iron Pro! I don't think I liked Rev.
