What is the difference between a deadstop bridge and a regular bridge? I thought that ‘deadstop’ means coming to a stop, so for chest press your arms touch the floor each rep. But for bridge shouldn’t you come to the floor each time anyway?

No- dead stop is coming to the floor as you say- with a normal bridge I don’t touch the floor unless I need to pause🙂

Aw man. So I’ve been doing deadstop bridges all along 😁

You and me both!
However I now have a barbell and bumper plates which makes it easier not to come to a complete stop or touch the ground.

I did play 46 this morning, legs. It went by pretty quickly and my legs are feeling it now. I matched her weights, which I can't usually do, so I think she is lifting much lighter than usual in this program, as people have pointed out.

It is lighter yes, but it is volume work with longer sets and often giant sets so going lighter makes sense. It doesn’t matter how heavy you lift at the end of the day, as long as the muscles are worked hard. I much prefer volume work as my body resounds better to it and has less risk of injury for me.

Also I often find her body weight stuff is harder than bathing with heavy weights?🤷🏻‍♀️

BigButtons · 10/03/2026 17:35

Say 48 glutes done
generally don’t like glute days but this was ok due to the set up.
right arse check is still slightly sore so no barbell work- sid variations of banded abductions.
took Bulgarians to 60 seconds due to arse cheek
My arse proper hurts now😂

Play day 47 here this morning. It went by pretty quickly and I can barely lift my spoon to eat my overnight oats now. Result.

Anjelika · 11/03/2026 21:57

Day 47 here too! I really enjoyed it but think I will be suffering tomorrow.

Abra1t · 11/03/2026 22:02

And Play 47 for me too! I enjoyed it too.

Fibrous · 12/03/2026 10:07

Play day 48 for me this morning. It was pretty good.

I started this but baled after one set. Just found it too repetitive—which of course, is the objective.

Fibrous · 12/03/2026 11:59

@Abra1t I don't really mind repetitive, especially first thing in the morning when my brain is still asleep. I'm definitely preferring the morning workouts these days, being half asleep seems to help keep the boredom at bay.

GoneBackToTheWorld · 12/03/2026 18:06

Unleash Day 24- full body- hadn't done this since leaving England. 30 sec rest intervals! Lots of back work (pullovers, renegades, supine rows) and chest (push ups) and no specific shoulders except for the press at the end of the six(!) rounds of makers. Only two sets of hip thrusts. Maybe you can't do these metabolic lighter weight workouts all the time (70% is bodyweight or 2 x10kg), but they're exhilarating and I love being left dripping in sweat like that.
(I struggle a bit with insomnia in general but this had me fast asleep from about 8pm to 2.30am on the dot, which is a huge spell of unbroken sleep)

BigButtons · 12/03/2026 21:28

@GoneBackToTheWorld I really love that kind of session and my body responds best to it. Alot of play has been like that- and Today i noticed that I had to roll my jeans over at the waist but also had to pull my tops down as they were riding up! I love mixing up training styles too. I have one more play to do tomorrow and will have a reload week next week and then will problem go back to epic three.
Today's play was great- bloody brutal for me but great. The bicep section was insane.
I went to failure many times.

Complexes today- love them! But to my horror I saw that silly Boi HAD to be the the first to post on the last day of play. God I hope that does not mean that they are back. I will have to block the pair of them if they are.

Fibrous · 13/03/2026 09:28

I did play 50 today too. That means I’ve done 32/50 - I did better with iron pro, that was 39/50. However, I started a new job and got my house on the market so I’m pleased I managed to get those 32 done while navigating that.

we’ve put an offer on a house we really want. It’s been a week already with no firm answer as it’s a probate sale and the siblings can’t get hold of one of the brothers. I’m sick of the tension! Hoping today is the day we get a response.

oh dear, I haven’t been on Facebook much recently but I hope they’re not back, too.

MsMoody · 13/03/2026 10:32

Well done to anyone finishing Play today! I'm a week behind, doing 4 days instead of 5 has seen my progress skyrocket.

GoneBackToTheWorld · 13/03/2026 10:58

Inquiring minds want to know, were there dogs for the finale?!

Big congrats to everyone finishing Play this week or next.

@AtomicBlondeRose hoping your DS is OK.

@Fibrous Fingers crossed you get the house you two want.

Fibrous · 13/03/2026 11:38

@GoneBackToTheWorld - yes they were!

whatwoulddexterdo · 13/03/2026 12:33

@Fibrous fingers crossed here for you
i just went on the app to see what’s in store for me after work with the final of Play - I was so determined to finish this in real time which has been an incredible effort to be honest as I can’t see to get over losing my beloved Goldie (9 weeks today 💔) and lost my mojo
Anyway I rushed over here to see if the return of the Kearneys had been noticed . I have to say that I find the announcement of their return on the very last day of play interesting psychologically 🙄

BigButtons · 13/03/2026 13:12

@MsMoody that is interesting- in what way has your progress improved doing 4 days a week instead of 5?

Well done to all of you on completing Play! I never feel I can do the last session if I haven’t done the rest of the programme and I’ll never do all of Play. But I did read the comments and saw those of Silly Boi, explaining away his and her’s absence (due to unkind comments by mainly anonymous people, well mine wasn’t unkind or anonymous, just honest). Of course they got loads of welcome backs/we missed you so much so no doubt they will be back to full 🤮for the next programme.
@Gobacktotheworld2thanks for the reminder about that unleash full body, I’ll do it tomorrow
@Fibrousgood luck on securing your new house! I hope the probate doesn’t pose too much of a problem. Here in France everything gets automatically split equally amongst the children, no wills, and that can cause huge problems and delays
@whatwoulddexterdoso sorry you are still grieving your lovely Goldie ❤️

I'm a bit like that about doing finales of programmes I haven't completed, too, but I think there are parts of Play I won't be doing, so I will push on as I like the look of the finale format.

@whatwoulddexterdo we have been through what you're going through many times and it will be on the horizon again fairly soon with our 15+ terrier, I fear. Flowers
