Man in our showers

A man has started using the women’s showers in my gym. He openly explained that he is doing so because the owners, Westminster council, have turned down the water temperature in the men’s changing room showers but not the women’s, and he finds the water in the men’s too cold. He’s not pervy but I’m still very uncomfortable having him naked and bathing in our space and worry that it’s just a thin end of a wedge that will lead to the presence of men that are predatory.
I’d like to be able to complain without getting myself into hot water (!). Any ideas?

You can just complain. It's totally fine to say there is a man using your showers and you cannot now access the space, and ask them to fix this problem. You don't need to say anything more.

Why would complaining get you in hot water? At my gym, the male cleaners have to check first before they even enter the women's changing room that everyone is ok with them being there.

This is completely out of order- definitely complain.

He is “pervy”. Gender wars aside no man would think it was acceptable to be naked in female showers.

He is being pervy. Any normal man would have complained to the gym about the water temperature. Not just taken it upon himself to go naked into the women's showers.

Sounds pervy to me. The options aren't if men's shower isn't working use women's. He also could have just not showered. Definitely complain

1. complain
2. ask for refund of some membership as you can use all facilities due to man in shower
3. if you want to cause the gym a real headache, start a petition for all women to get a reduction on your membership as facilities cannot be enjoyed

He is totally taking the piss. Of course he is a creep. Jimmy Saville would have probably felt comfortable doing this but most men wouldn’t dream of doing it as they would be far too embarrassed and they would know it wasn’t appropriate.

With the greatest respect OP how much of a people pleasing door mat do you have to be to not think that just complaining about this is a perfectly normal thing to do and not at all something that will land you in hot water?

There's no other controversial dynamic here it's a man freely admitting he's using the women's showers because it's his preference

Omg! Complain immediately!. This sounds like a bogus excuse to be in the women's area. No other men are doing that and I'm sure they wouldn't have even thought of it.

Is this open plan changing room and showers or private cubicles?

Just complain to the gym manager for goodness sake.
