Leggings roll down from the waist when running 😩

I run once or twice a week- nothing serious, I'm not "a runner" like a lot of you. But I'm having the issue that whatever leggings/joggers I wear will roll down while I'm running.

At first when I started out I was running in tracksuit bottoms and cycling leggings because I didn't want to spend any money, so I thought when I invested in running-specific leggings the problem would disappear. Well, I've now just bought two pairs of running leggings, and it's not any better. I had to finish my run yesterday holding the top up with one hand. I now can't return them, either, so that's annoying too. They do fit, they're not baggy or anything, and have a high waist and thick banding with support around the waist so I thought they would work.

Everything I wear just slides down and is distracting and also embarrassing! I have scarring on my abdomen that I really don't want to be flashing.

Has anyone encountered this issue and what brand did you buy that helped?

I found Sweaty Betty the worst for rolling down. I bought two pairs of their running leggings and they just constantly roll down so I can’t wear them. Lululemon wunder train are the only ones I’ve found which stay up.

I used to always have this problem too and agree with some of the other posters to go for a drawstring on the waist, solved it for me!

Sweaty Betty Power are the only ones that stay up on me
Mine roll down when I run. I only use mine for weights or yoga.

Another vote for rainbows and sprinkles. I'm really tall, and long in the body, and they still don't slip down. Squat proof, really good thigh pockets, and they wash really well. I've had a couple of pairs for almost a year, wear them weekly, and they still look like new.

The only time I’ve had leggings roll down on me is when I was pregnant and they were too tight around the waist, I think people tend to buy smaller to avoid rolling as it’s fitted… anyway talking to friends we concluded that they roll when they’re too tight. So maybe try a bigger size? I’m not really a fan of sweaty Betty but I love lulu lemon and M&S

I'm tall and long in the body and sweaty Betty don't work for me, can't pull them up quite high enough so they roll down.

Under armour with drawstring have been good for me, I get them in the sale.

I'll go and check out rainbow and sprinkles, thanks!

I love my old Primark running leggings with a drawstring tie. Can you fit a tie in somehow? Weave elastic through the fabric and tie it up, for example.

I bought a pair of Sweaty Betty Power cropped leggings and a cheap pair from Decathlon off the back of this thread and have tested them out. These are the findings from my wardrobe:

Don't roll down
Sweaty Betty Power £52.50 in the sale
Decathlon Domyos women's fitness leggings £12.99
Ancient pair of fitness leggings from Sainsbury's TU

Do roll down
Fabletics Oasis high-waisted
H&M bum sculpting sports tights

Pic attached so you can get an idea of my body shape.
