Sweaty Betty 7/8 power leggings dupe for running

I love mine but unjustifiable even at sale price for me to buy another pair. I have tights from Decathlon as well and really rate them. Just wondering if anyone has found identical substitutes to the SB powers? I like the comfort, support and way they stay up.

I find I can go miles in the M&S Goodmove range of leggings and even slightly prefer them to my one pair of SB .

Aurique from Amazon are very similar in the seam placing. Fabric isn't quite the same but not bad. I didn't like the M&S good move I tried.

For outdoor running or indoor light exercise/yoga I love these. Very similar style and sculpting properties to SB but a little warmer.

H&M leggings are good, also the Nike website often has big discounts on.

SingingSands · 03/10/2022 17:08

The Goodmove range in M&S is a good dupe, I have quite a few bits from that range.

Even though I think Sweaty Betty has gone massively downhill I still find their powers to be the best all round leggings and I’ve tried a lot ! The sale has gone to 60% off now so maybe worth another glance? But personally I wouldn’t trust any other line from there these days!

Wale90 · 03/10/2022 17:16

Sorry, never found a comparison.

They always fail in thickness, support, length and their ability to slip/roll

cuminpotato · 03/10/2022 17:18

Always lots for sale on Vinted

Thestoppedfan · 03/10/2022 17:31

Watching with interest! I’ve been completely loyal to SB power leggings for years but the last 3 pairs have just not been the same. When I am in maximum squat you can see the colour of my underwear (only just but you definitely can!).

I am a solid SB powers fan. M&S do a good dupe but they are not comparable for sweat wicking and feel nearly like an air pocket after long distances. The material just is not similar. pockets, high rise etc all great.
Nike dri-fit were amazing, recently binned a very old pair. At least 10years, only binned as they got caught in something and I sadly ripped them. Didn’t have a great pocket but I just used a belt from Amazon.

Hedonism · 04/10/2022 12:22

M&s are the nearest I've found, but they aren't quite as good.

KStockHERO · 04/10/2022 12:24

I've experimented with all the leggings. Some cheap, some very expensive and I've never found any better than SB. Sorry, OP.

But Vinted is your friend. I got a pair of Power leggings for £5 once on there.

Another vote for M&S Good Move

My last couple of pairs have come from eBay or Vinted. Plenty on both, new or nearly new (the ones I bought looked unworn).

I don't have any others now so no suggestions, sorry! I used to have some Nike ones but they started to slip down (they were very old, and I'd changed shape, tbf!)

ItWillBeDone · 09/10/2022 22:48

SB are worth the premium for me. I just had to chuck a pair away as they had holes where you really don't want there to be holes... but I'd used them 2-3 times a week since 2016, including for marathon training. I grabbed myself two replacement pairs in the sale. I've found others go saggy or fall down for me.
