Simple 5 minute routine for over 70’s

Hi,

I am looking for some recommendations for simple exercises for over 70’s to do for 5 minutes a day. I am specifically looking for things to help keep balance, etc. rather than aerobic fitness. This is for my parents who are still fit and healthy, and who go out for a good paced walk everyday and are not couch potatoes like me, but who are starting to show more signs of rapid aging.

I seem to remember someone here, who maybe worked in a care home(?), recommend something like standing on one leg next to the kitchen counter for a certain amount of time, then the swapping legs and things like that, but I can’t find the old thread anymore.

Do you wise people have any recommendations?

Thanks a lot

We're just giving this thread a bump for the OP in case anyone's around with some ideas.

OP, if you'd like us to move this over to our Elderly Parents topic, just let us know.
