I've really noticed through wearing my fitbit that brisk walking is great exercise. It burns nearly as many calories as jogging if you walk fast and on hilly routes. It's free. You don't need to shower afterwards, usually. I'm lucky that I can walk to work and to local shops. It's good for mental wellbeing.

So I'm going to try to walk every day this year. Please join me if you want to log steps, minutes, calories or km/ miles.

This morning I walked for 72 mins and burned 412 cals. 8000 steps. Pretty slow pace.

I've got covid at the moment so I'm doing about 300 steps a day. But will aim to get back into walking when I'm better. The benefits are fabulous

Can I join you?

I have been doing a new weights/ gym programme & it's put my back out 🙄

Took an ibuprofen today & walked 7 miles. Slowly at first. Then I sped up. The pain has eased.
I think walking is amazing! 👍
